I love this game! When I am in a heavy battle and projectiles and lasers are flying, I only have one wish. I would love to have Shield Flares. I know this is small potatoes on the grand scale of things coming out and going on. But when ever I am fighting it seems to be all hull shots. So not only do you have the HUD saying you are out of shields and or down to armor, but you can see it as well. It could be as pretty or as simple as you would like. Like I said, not a huge thing, just a small thought...

That wish doesn't seem very graphic.



In all seriousness, the best graphic wish for Eve would be holographic table dancers. Why the hell a complete failure like X:Afterbirth got them and my CQ didn't is just... wrong.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Visual Wish? Would that be better? The ability to see a weapon strike on ones shields.

So.. something like This. which is weird.. because when you think shields, you think Star Trek.. but then you get stuff like this that pretty much shows nothing but hull strikes from them. When you go to Babylon 5, you get more of the hull strikes vs shield strikes as well. Then you go Star Wars.. and get more of the same.

So maybe shield strikes aren't all that common afterall, and maybe Eve is doing it right.

If you ask me, making it so shields make an oval around the ship it's protecting isn't energy efficient. That's just me though.

Yep. Ive said it before, but Eve shields are more yoga pants and less inflatable sumo suit.

Shield bubbles look silly. EVE seems to have gone the cling-wrap route, which looks better. Though I'd be fine with it all being invisible. But I guess being able to tell when people have invulns and shield boosters can be nice, tactically. I guess they could create a ripple effect over the hull of the ship where a shot lands, while a ship still has shields left. Make it conform to the hull shape just like all the other shield effects.

That is more or less what i was thinking. nothing huge or egg shaped. form fitting would be fine. non-visible until fired on then like a shimmer or a ripple or something. a little before the hull/armor.

CCP agreed, which is why we got rid of them years ago :P
