I don't know if this question has been asked before, or lots.
However the only forum posts I can find regarding this are from 2011, stating that there is roughly 445 Trillion Isk in eve as of Q4 2010...

Now 5 years on (for the most part), I'm wondering what this figure is now, especially considering the continuing inflation of the market, and decreasing value of the isk.

Cheers :)

Id love to know too, but I hardly doubt CCP will reveal such a figure. In this case the truth will hurt them more than help them. The idea of isk inflation and isk value will be a closely guarded secret. Now that being said maybe CCP will grace us with info but I wont hold my breath on it.

Theres way to much isk in the economy and I think itll just get worse and worse without CCP being able to do much about it. Theyre trying but I think peoples greed and understanding of the game mechanics will prevent them from doing much if anything about it. People are by nature carebears. And want stability and growth in their wallets. Theyve tried making more sinks but I think itll never be enough as people will find ways around those sinks if not avoiding them entirely.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

They could probably say how much ISK there is but a CSM once mentioned CCP was unable to make a complete asset list of all the stuff people have in EVE. Something about the script taking more than 24 hours to run but downtime crashing it.

Inflation? What inflation?

http://marketsforisk.blogspot.com/2014/04/inflation-in-eve-online.html

The price indices have been remarkably stable for nearly a decade. Really the only thing that is inflating is the PLEX. Is this a PLEX whine thread?

If you feel there is too much ISK in the game, here is what you do:

1) Buy skillbooks from the NPCs. That removes ISK from the game.
2) Jet the skillbooks.
3) Shoot the can.
4) Repeat until you have removed the desired amount of ISK from the game.

I'm not sure there is broad levels of inflation oaverall, it seems to be primarily confined to PLEX....which maybe a superior good for at least a subset of players.

As to your overall question...wasn't it something like 1 trillion ISK/month entered the game, so we are about 60 months from the last economic report...so ballpark 60 trillion ISK?

Are we actually talking about the market, or just the price of plex?

Too much.

The real question is: How much ISK is tied up in unsubbed accounts that didnt give me their stuff?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

There is also the masses of ISK in still subbed account that will never get spent because there is just too damn much but those are of course less important since they don't apply to your rule...

Or possibly changes in manufacturing requirements along with industrialists demanding a higher wage for their time.
Not all price changes are inflation. And the mineral price index changes can be traced to direct supply and demand changes.

They would just query a mirror. Could even target active accounts.

Blimey!

Hope that if they try to answer this, it's done on a mirror

Op : liquid ISK total on active accounts or all accounts (inactive as well?)

Seems pointless to know really.

What did knowing this do to you last time you had the data?

Me, nothing at all.

There's a better way than this.

1) Buy skillbooks from the NPCs. That removes ISK from the game.
2) Sell the skillbooks in Jita for slightly less than NPC price (or slightly more if you can get them to sell near instantly). Now for every skillbook you buy from the NPC market you are chucking away someone else's isk as well as your own.

If I sell the skillbooks, then the person who buys them will not, themselves, buy them from the NPCs. The result: No more ISK is removed from the game than if I had done nothing. (Except for taxes and broker fees.) Nope, you must destroy them.
