Hi guys,

Recently I've been having issues with my alt account's client crashing whenever I undock for the first time.. Occasionally I get an "Exception Raised..." error message, more often I just get a black screen and everything freezes. Now since this only happens on my cloned version of EVE, I thought perhaps running the repair tool on the clone might work. However the repair tool does not recognise the EVE clone as a valid EVE application.

Anyone have any suggestions to what I could try before I go the long arduous full reinstall route?

You do have the new version of clonemaker installed right, and have updated the cloned instance?

Also if you do need to reinstall the client remove the shared cache folder first and replace it in your new client. Runt he new client so the folder tree populates then replace the shared cache folder wight he old one, that way your client download is only 450 mb thereabouts.

I'm not sure, I'd think if that weren't up to date my cloned client wouldn't run at all?

In any case, I redownloaded the repair tool,
I ran the repair tool on my main client, that did its thing.
I tried to run the repair tool on my cloned client, it still does not recognise it as a valid EVE app.
I deleted the clone and recloned it, perhaps this will work.

I know that CCP made changes to Clone maker of late and had a pretty good size post about how all clones would need to be redone.
So if your new clone didn't work - delete and find the new clonemaker then try. If you still have problems - PM and I will see how much I can help.

The repair tool never worked on clones. Your best bet is to just make a new clone. trash the old one and make a new one, That takes less than a minute.

Edit: Each clone has its own file in Application support. You may need to trash that too, before you make the new clone.
