all sounds really biased in my opinion, like you want something changed which caters to you only.

what exactly is your playstyle if you dont mind me asking?

Quite the opposite I want the game to become significantly better, modernised (not easier just slicker) or just scrape it off and start new. I would hate to see Eve slowly die. I'm a wormholer. The change I mentioned affects mostly nullsec entities like PL but I know a bs change when I see one.

Are we doing this again? Seriously? How many times is that now this year?

No, I'm really asking. I haven't been around much. But if I remember correctly, we had six or seven of these threads in 2014 alone.

I haven't seen any other thread question whether CCP is building the capital to start a new space game and can they actually pull it off? Would we support it through kickstarter or other community funding means?

There is one ON THE SECOND PAGE! It has almost the same title and it is locked!

You haven't found any, because you did not look!

really you call that a thread? some rumbling about less ganking, better graphics and elite dangerous?

What we think about it is irrelevant!

One day these "Eve is dying" threads will actually appear when Eve is, you know, actually dying.

Today is not that day.

Bring your possibles.

Im drunk. I giggled at everyone smacking these poor dudes ideas. It is the eve Ive come to know. Sure I dont agree with much of the smack but that doesnt mean I dont refrain from it from time to time myself.Twisted

Eve 2.0 huh? Yeah its an old topic really. The idea tht if CCP changes X or Y that eve will be better or suddenly awesome!! It wont. The basic game mechanics mean that to change the game so much would negate the idea of Eve itself. Itd be an entirely different game and thats just cool and silly all at the same time. We first started this game mining, shooting red crosses and metagaming. We still do these activities. An Eve 2.0 would need new basic gameplay and therefore NOT be Eve at all.

Do I sometimes sit around and go man I wish Eve was different? sure of course I do. Then I go play another game thats NOT Eve and feel alright. And then I come back to Eve for what it is. To wish its something different is akin to wishing life was different and more this or that, its not. There is no other option but death in that fact. Such, alas, is life. No matter how much you want it to be different. And to suggest otherwise is to invite flameage to the underpants of yourn. So wear asbestos underwear, youll need it.

To backpedal with this bunch is to invite infinite and immense terror and scorn.

I still want CCP to do something to "save" the game but at the same time its not about saving at all, more about providing me with more content. Something they technically dont HAVE to do. I figure 12 years is enough content. And for those of you that are bored at 6 months or 2 years. **** you!! Your noobs still!! If a moron like me can be entertained for 12 years with my demanding nature you cant say **** with your piddly oooooh its boring!! crap!!
Yup I dislike some things that CCP is allowing or doing. Other things Im happy for. Im also alright with waiting and seeing what CCP is planning with this game in the way of updates and content. To throw my hands up in the air is stupid and I look at the people that do as morons in epic sense. Chicken Little!! Chicken Little!! Oh the sky is falling!! Sure theres a player count decrease, yup I understand it. I think about it and I continue to play... PLAY the game.

And I know that no matter how good or bad CCP is.... everything must end one day.

So Ill just drink my gin and juice and giggle at the funny posts. Cheers bitches!! Twisted

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

This is NOT an "EVE is dying" thread.

It is about being born again!

I'm sorry, I just can't take you seriously until I've seen you sacrifice via self-destruct a ship of your choosing worth at least 1bil isk at the sun of your favourite solar system. Fraps it for me and put on YouTube, then we'll talk about who the dying breed is, the people enjoying a video game or the ones panicking over its ever-inevitable 'doom'.

Edit: changed 'demise' to 'doom'. Just has a better ring to it, don't you think?

I see three parts to the problem, I posted on two of them and got trolled a lot of course, but a major third part is that the player base is aging. Fewer and fewer people want to roam for 6 hours at a time before the action happens. EVE needs to acknowledge it has an aging core player base and that people don't want to invest the same amount of time they might have in the past.

How you reconcile that with "sandbox" I'm not sure besides to say that the size of null sec should probably be shrunken down by a lot and the economy likely needs an overhaul, these are the absolute minimums from my point of view.

Please give me an example of all these 6 hour roams EVERYONE is experiencing.

EDIT: I guess I am one of those aging core you speak of, Both in game and behind the keyboard. So please enlighten me as to my impending doom.

I suggest you look up the definition of spamming. What's happening here is not spamming, it's derailing. There is a difference. On that note, there's also a rule against redundant forum topics. Like this one.

I don't know who started it, all I know is I win at it. ^_^

There's a lot of shiptoasting there, but at least you can have a reasonably normal conversation without floods of forum dwellers ruining it with their 'gotta be a forum badass' routine.
