In-Game Events and Gatherings

New Eden,

A battle is about to take place. Immortal beings rising to face each other in order to determine the one who will conquer the skies; the one who will battle for hours and not falter; the one who will outwit his enemies... and comrades; the one who will persevere where everyone else withered away. Who will rise to the challenge and be crowned the Theomachy champion? Will James Ogeko keep his title, or will a new challenger step forth and achieve perfection?
One thing is certain, there will be bloodshed, there will be betrayals and there will be only one victor.

Repercussus will be hosting this year's Theomachy on CCP’s Singularity Server. Similar to last year's Theomachy, a solar system will be prepared with beacons containing treasures to help you achieve victory as well as traps to help others defeat you. As many as 400 capsuleers will be fighting it out for 4 hours only to find the one true champion.

There is only one way to find out if you have what it takes to achieve victory...

Theomachy will take place on August 8th 2015 @ 2000 EVE Time.

Like last year, we will be accepting the first 400 valid registrations. The overflow will be sent to a waiting list and will be contacted with instructions.

Participants will have to join the hosting corporation "Ludus Gallicus" on singularity. As such, participants will have to leave their corporation on Singularity by no later than 1900 Eve time August 4th. This is to ensure members can join the hosting corporation.
All Participants are to be docked in any station in 6-CZ49 at 1900 Eve time August 8th (use the /moveme command).

All pilots will then be moved to the hosting system where a countdown will take place for the battle to begin.

Here are the general rules of the event:
- There is no podding within the first 5 minutes of the event. No exceptions.
- The Overseers are not authorized to Pod anyone unless sudden death is declared
- You are eliminated from the tournament when you are podded. Any attempt to rejoin will result in immediate CCP removal.
- If you are podded by someone before the first 5 minutes, link your lossmail in the "Theomachy The Event" channel so we can investigate and get you back in.
- Stargates, celestials and safespots are off limits! Anyone caught at any of these will get removed from the event.
- Structures are not a viable target.
- Standings in Ludus Gallicus will be adjusted to show who you can/can't shoot. Any actions towards a +10 or +5 standing target will be met with harsh consequences.
- An overview will also be provided in case a capsuleer isn't used to overview settings.
- If Singularity should go down, you will have 5 minutes to log back in from the moment the servers are back up. Purposely taking longer than 5 minutes to log back in will get you disqualified from the event.
- If you disconnect during the event, you have the time it takes our probing team to find you to log in.

Once the event starts, capsuleers will scramble to board ships available at the different beacons. Throughout the event, unoccupied ships will be removed and new treasure or traps will be seeded at these beacons. Traps range from troll fitted ships, Overseer ships blowing your ship up, and NPCs shooting your ship. Treasure on the other hand will include some better fit ships, tech 2 or faction modules and emergent events that will hold rewards ranging from max boosting bonus, logistics support for a single engagement and more.

What are the prizes available? As of right now sponsorships from corporations, alliances, and CCP has allowed Repercussus to ensure a minimum prize pool of 30 Billion ISK. Due to these great donations and sponsorships the following prizes will be awarded. These prizes are determined by the final 3 participants alive who will fight to the death to be named champion. • First place - will receive 12 PLEX + EVE Collector’s Edition
• Second Place - will receive 6 PLEX + Art of New Eden and EVE: Source Books
• Third place - will receive 3 PLEX + True Stories Book

Furthermore, there will be additional ways to gain prizes, similar to achievements, such as destroying the most valuable cargo, most kills, etc.

We are also improving on the event from last year in a few ways.

• Custom Overview for participants
• Less Overview clutter of unpiloted ships
• Emergent Event Actors will be easier to see and the rewards will more worth the risk
• More Balanced ship distribution in the arena
• Troll fit ships won't be nearly as common as they were
• Refitting Options more clear

Anyway to confirm registration?

Theomachy is less than a week away, we still have open slots for registration.

You can register as long as you drop corp correctly instead of removing your roles up until the day before. There is a information document linked in the Theomachy The Event channel on TQ.

Getting ready for the hunger games of EvE.

However i have had a lot of problems with the test server this week. Lots of DCs, lots of freezes etc. And really really laggy.

The event did well, we had some hiccups and the expected large groups that formed but we do have the placing list for the top 40. The hidden achievements will be handed out in the next few days.



EDIT: The top 40 list was incorrect, I am having my killboard guy check the DB for the order in which pods were killed in the top 40 and comparing that to people that were moved out of system in the top 40 by CCP. For those of you that I already evemail for prizes, I will prob just eat the cost since it was my screw up. The top 40 list will be posted soon along with the rest of the achievements. Sorry for the inconvience.
