I don't see any weapon specializing at all.




All action RPGs give you some little stuff to do (Basic attack, cheap to use abilities) and some big stuff to do periodically. (Costs lots of 'Mana' or has a long cool down, or both). I think it's neat that they are putting this ratio into the hands of the player to a much larger degree than I expected.

Monk for example, spirit generators and spirit spenders...

If they LIKE a monk spirit generator move they can pick runes to make the generator attacks really strong, and put utility stuff on the spenders like slows and debuffs to keep using the generator move as their main skill.

If they like the spender move, they can still pick from a list of skills to generate the spirit for it instead of being stuck with 'basic attack' and then make that generator skill just generate more really quickly with the golden rune type, so they can keep throwing out that big spender move and not have to fuss around as much with something else before doing what they like.
