Hello everyone. I recently started playing EVE and I'm quite in to exploration as a carrier since it's fun. So the thing is I understood how to find sites etc. but I have a friend who prefers mining as a profession instead. Can I find a gas site or a wormhole, bookmark it for myself and send him the location or does he need to use probes too? Also If I can, doez it work in wormholes as well? Thanks a lot, have a good day.

If ye were in the same Corp you could bookmark the wormhole entrance, exit and the site for your Corp and your friends could simply warp to them with no need for probes.

Failing that I'm pretty sure you can give someone a bookmark as an item but I'm somewhat unsure as to how this is done (Corp bookmarks are just so much more expedient that I have never needed to).

Edit: and yes bookmarks work the same everywhere.

You drag the bookmark into your CARGO HOLD ! (SHIFT+drag for copy)
You jettison the bookmarks.
He grabs the whole can.
He drags the bookmarks to it's destination.

That's how you share a set of coordinates in the year 23000+.

You never ever shared a bookmark, ever?

Pretty sure it's Shift + Drag the bookmark to your cargohold? And you can only share personal bookmarks if I recall correctly so if it's a corporate bookmark you are trying to share you have to first copy it to your personal bookmarks first.

Also OP if you got the patience for it I highly recommend a service like siggy. You and friends in the same corporation can all share the same siggy account and you can quickly see how your wormhole chain is laid out and what sigs are what.

Edit :Oh, and welcome to Eve. :)

if you drag the bookmark it removes it from your bookmarks, if you shift+drag the bookmark it copies it

yeah...

Thanks, I updated my post though it was rather obvious anyway.

Or use the station trade window.

I think that the implication is that we're already abusing the entanglement network to the edge of its capacity just hijacking it to run the markets and local chats without light-speed lag, and other forms of communication are done over the higher-tech equivalent of radio at best.

Speed of light is 7 au per _hour_. This is also why you have to fly to the station to talk to your agent, it's quite literally orders of magnitude faster than trying to call his cell phone and most agents are not capsuleers and thus can't access the entanglement relays (which are "supposed" to be solely for pouring you into a new clone when podded or jumping, but we can sometimes... misappropriate for the purposes of chats and corp comms and so on).
