What are the rules if a person changes alliance and back.

I'm asking on behalf of a, ahem, friend, who is in an alliance which is going through a bit of a rocky patch on TQ.

If someone leaves the alliance, or his corp leaves the alliance, can he rejoin the alliance in a different corp and still be eligible to play?

There's a post answering a similar situation already here somewhere. In a nutshell, if I remember the post correctly (will look for it for you shortly), lateral moves within an alliance are fine.

Lateral moves means moving from one corporation directly into another corporation while staying within the alliance.

If there is a dropping from the alliance then returning to the alliance, you'll have to petition (under Community) to determine what if any exceptions or rules or whatever apply.

In general, I've found that when it doubt, it's best to file a petition FIRST, BEFORE your "friend" drops from the alliance, that way you can be sure that what your "friend" is about to do won't disqualify him/her, and/or arrangements can be made so as to avoid disqualification.

As per the previous post, you are free to move between corporations in the same alliance and still maintain eligibility.
