My friend said they offered to ransom him for 50mill but after dude payed the OP drones kept attacking.

Funny mail. But I'm not sure this speaks to Tristans being OP.

Bulkheads, drone hp rig, bay full of T1 mediums, and unable to tank 140 DPS long enough to dock or jump gate.

Death by stupid is my verdict. 1 jump from a rookie system too.

He had beams and t1 med drones. Was also neuted fast. Couldnt hit anything.
And yeah 1jump from rookie but dude is almost 3years.

Rookie systems aren't general safe zones. Read the policy. Only newbros are protected, and then only if you're exploiting their lack of understanding of aggro mechanics.

Fair game in rookie systems: newbro WTs, newbros knowingly aggressing (not baited into it), and ALL non-newbros.

Never underestimate the triple neut Tristan is the lesson to be learned here.

We used to fly these for our Effed Up Friday roams, with generally hilarious results. Not only can a few of these take down a ratting battleship in short order, they're only a few million ISK, so you can buy a half dozen of them for the cost of one fitted assault frigate.

You missed his point. He was just mentioning one jump from a rookie system to emphasise the point the guy might have been a little new. That said his char is actually three years old as mentioned and has no excuses from being unable to fend off a Tristan.

That doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't new. A lot of people try to start EVE, quit because they can't get through the NPE, and resub years later with the same account. I know my main looks two years older than it really is for that exact reason.

Not making an excuse for stupid people, just saying the date the account started isn't always a great way to measure skillpoints or playing time.

I confess I did not look at the player age but judged from the T1 drones and inability to kill a Tristan with a web and a 400m3 drone bay that he was a special kind of stupid and should not have been flying that.

Good for you putting him out of his misery. I've been struggling to get anyone that terrible to shoot at me lately.

Thats twice you called the victim stupid.
He's never been out of NPC corp, he's probably slugged it out on his own this entire time.
Why not do something proactive and mail him a proper fit, or offer to take him out pvp just once.
