this is not the most exciting thing to do when you first start out but it worked for me you know all these people brag about level 4 missions when you first start up you can't do the combat missions without somebody else be there with you but The Courier missions give a fairly decent amount of lp

I completed all the career missions for Gallente and Minmatar there's 3 schools for both factions give career missions
the first thing I basically did is search these places down and completed them all

which basically gave me the standings to do missions for the Sisters of Eve

here's the boring part the skills you need to train at the beginning
social
connections
trade
Distribution Connections
Gallente Industrial
Hall upgrades
Jury Rigging
Astronautics Rigging

optional skills but useful skills
Negotiation
Cybernetics
recommended ship
Iteron Mark V with 150000m3 cargo capacity
before you start thinking about even completing your first school get social to level 5

it depends on how you have your attributes setup it can take anywhere from 3 to 7 days

after you're done doing that you should be able to complete all the schools within 4 days depends on how much dedication you have in time

the at this point I recommend getting connections to level 4 and buy Distribution Connections or
you should be able to buy implants that give you + 3 attributes

you should have 5.0 points with the sisters of Eve by this point if not you're probably 4.8 or you might have to do some level 3 Courier missions for the Sisters of Eve every 16 missions you get a storyline mission after completing two you should have the standings you need to do the level 4s
you should be able to fit the ship at this point and have one and the missions give anywhere around 450 LP to 1200

at this point if you like doing missions start training combat skills or some reason you like hauling stuff around then you can start training for a freighter it's not cheap though

this is why I did it for the sisters probe launchers at the time they were selling for 70 million isk they're now selling for 40 million also as well the storyline missions I got were basically hauling cargo around which gave me a +4 Implant I was able to sell or use

how long I think it will take you to get to the point where you can do what I'm doing now 10 to 14 days

I'm sorry if my grammar is terrible I'm using a voice to text program is my writing is very terrible

well i suppose its ok if thats what you want to do but seems incredibly boring, my advice would be if you like combat then stay away from courier missions and focus on combat side of things

Domination Nephilim - Angel Cartel

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

There is no right way to play this game. If you found a way that is fun for you and you enjoy it then that's all that matters. However if you are going about it this way because you wanted to do it some other way but were finding it too difficult or complicated I suggest to keep trying other paths. This game is very complex and you learn every day and every thing you learn makes the things that seemed difficult last week a bit less difficult this week.

I started with looting and salvaging. Made 1 billion within the first month that way :-)
As long as you have fun, it's the right path you are on.

I was trying to find a group was okay with me salvaging their level 4s but I wasn't able to I basically was forced to play by myself that's why I went this route and a lot of people have a problem with my personality that's why I went this route as well

Courier missions and trade are how I made my first million/billion too. A lot of people think it's boring, and it is, but at the time I was really engaged by finding good investments and mapping out which agents to grind for optimal standing gains. I don't do it anymore, but so far as skill-light newbie careers and isk-making go, this is one that stands out. If you don't get sick of it up front you'll really enjoy it and be remunerated for your time.

ya lots of us in this game have some difficulties like that, myself included. I think that it's important that you start looking for a player corp early on but not so important that you find one. What I mean is you should be constantly looking around checking out the corps of players in system and checking the recruitment UI and maybe the recruitment forum. Join some public channels and talk to people. But you don't need to be in a hurry to jump into one. Look around for one that feels like a good fit.

You don't need to ask. You can scan down mission runners and salvage the wrecks. You weren't forced to play alone, you brought that onto yourself. Wording it this way is completely wrong. If you want to stick with wording it like this, though, then the only one who forced you to play alone was yourself!

Courier missions are fine, if that's your thing, but do NOT do them as "something to do until you can do L4 combat missions".

All that training time in OP's post is, obviously, time spent not training combat abilities you could be training if you enjoy that more, if your immediate goal is L4s you're literally just making that goal more distant, making this exactly the opposite of what you want to do.

If you want something to do "on the way to L4" combat missions... run L3 combat missions, the numbering on those isn't some kind of subtle prank, it's ascending order of skill point investment needed. Do courier missions only if your actual goal is to be a trucker in space.

Sorry. I mean A Trucker... IN SPAAAAAAAAACE.

- Corps specializing in salvage / loot services for mission runners such as Pro Synergy seem like a decent way for a new player to make an isk. Also I think there is a chat channel that will help you find salvage jobs (Free Wrecks channel I think)

- As was said - one does not [i]have[i/] to ask. Ninja salvaging has been done a lot.

- Some people find it enjoyable to do more unusual salvaging things such as to go into Faction Warfare areas and salvage T2 wrecks from battles

that's one hell of an Itty V, where can I get one with 150,000m^3 of cargohold?

this.
so much this.

When I first moved to 0.0 with my mighty ~4m SP (at the time) newbro pilot I invested in 10x Mobile Tractor Units, a Salvage Coercer and a Nereus. I'd go to a busy ratting system and ask in local if people minded me salvaging/looting their wrecks and I'd also ninja loot closed sites that the ratter left strewn with lootable wrecks (this is surprisingly common, bookmark all the sites in a system (you can save a bookmark from the Probe Scanner window), then go back and check which ones have closed off, warp in, if there's wrecks, set an MTU, if not, delete the bookmark). In one afternoon, I set over 45 MTUs and made over half a billion ISK.

What I did when I started Eve some 75mil SP ago, was train anything that sounded fun or interesting, and not worry about power-gaming Eve.
Some things I trained didn't pan out and I never use those skills anymore, but they are not 'wasted' in the sense that I explored something in the game and learned whether or not I enjoyed it.

5800 base capacity
+25% from ship skill = 7250 before any modules added whatsoever
3x Cargo capacity rigs at 15 per = 11026

Cargo expanders are 27.5%, have no diminishing returns, and you have 5 of them if you really want. That's 37150 m3

... yeah, I dunno. 40k*m^3 is about all I ever remember getting in practical terms, so even if I'm forgetting a skill or something that changes is that seems about the limit.

(I don't usually focus them that hard either, usually the reason I'd use an Itty V is more so I can put a reasonably defensive fit on it while still having that nice 7k base capacity to work with.)
