Helol ladies and gentlemen,

I'm looking for a kiting tristan fit for solo PvP. Not sure how to fit it but would like to stay around 18-20km away from my target but still have him pointed. I just want to see different fits, why you have that fit the way it is, dps if possible because I want to try out different kiting fits to see which I like most.

Thank you in advance,

Maykid

Only frigate worth flying is the garmur or worm. Everything else has been made redundant by the Svipul

It needs 3% pg implant to fit. Pretty much the same as the other guy posted except you forgo some speed and tank for 2 defensive neuts.

10mn frig fits take quite a bit more skill to fly but you gain a much larger engagement profile and are less one dimensional in fighting style.

With an oversized AB you can burn straight really effectively, but you'll have to be a lot wider in your turning angle to prevent your speed from dropping so much you can be caught. It also takes longer to get up to speed with the AB. Which means it could be easier for someone to try and slingshot you to break your point on them.

+1
I was introduced to that fit while playing RvB shenanigans and it remains one of my favourite Tristan fits.

Interesting I'll definitely play around with it, and its a fairly cheap frig fit which I like a lot. Now is using hobs better than warriors or vice versa?
I'm mainly doing solo PvP I'd that helps with drone choice

Why would you kite with hobs? THose are the slowest drones around. In a fight between two kiting tristans the one with the hobs will have ZERO applied dps if both pilots know what they are doing.

I've recently started playing around with a TD fitted MWD Tristan. Optimal script negates rails and other long range weapons and tracking script will stop blaster and other short range guns from killing your drones. I just run away from missile boats unless they are rocket and I can kite outside their range. Also need to keep am eye out for gunboats with crazy optimal bonus's like the the Harpy as well as other drone boats.

This translates up as far as cruisers with 100mn ab's.
