Funny you say they are dying but Harpies and Hawks are both still being used wholesale by the Imperium.

A mix of AF and EF is so OP it's not even funny (saw a bunch of them take down a carrier, took awhile but they did it).

Only reason you see less of them is because they are skill intensive. People prefer to fly the navy/pirate frigs and ceptors.

Been around since the beginning.

they need an SP loss like their cruiser cousins.

Couldn't disagree more. It's a stupid mechanic, hopefully CCP will remove it.

I have a problem with CCP adding new and undertested toys to their sandbox when they haven't even finished fixing up and organizing the stuff that's in.

If they waited until then, nothing new would get introduced. They will never finish fixing Eve.

Introducing new crazy things into the mix just confuses and obscures work already done.

It's continuous cycle. Stuff is rebalanced, stuff obsoletes it, stuff is rebalanced etc...

I'm glad we have a dedicated playerbase so ready and eager to play as peer review to ideas like that and shoot them down before they gain traction. I just wish CCP would learn and humble themselves before it.

I disagree again. People make claims based on general ideas. A lot of people on F&I overreact and panic about things which are actually decent once implemented. I'm glad CCP doesn't listen to everything we say as we would've missed out on a lot of cool stuff if they did. I do wish they'd listen more though.

i only have experience with the armour ones but we use them as they make badasssig tankers

this is our old 300dps fit

[Ishkur, Ralph King-Griffin's Ishkur]
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Small Armor Repairer II

1MN Afterburner II
Warp Scrambler II
Small Capacitor Booster II,Navy Cap Booster 150

Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I
Light Neutron Blaster II,Void S
Light Neutron Blaster II,Void S
Light Neutron Blaster II,Void S

Small Ancillary Current Router II
Small Anti-Explosive Pump II

Warrior II x4
Hobgoblin II x4

this little beauty is the proverbial David and with a set of halo implants has almost the same sig as a small drone (smaller with t2 boost)
what this means is you have something that anything cruiser or larger will have extreme difficulty killing without being specifically fit to deal with.

they are essentially tiny hacs, great heavy tackle and fun to fly.

I've flown Assault Frigates a bit. I think they are in a great place. I just think D3's need to be deleted.

I haven't flown, or flown against, D3s yet... But if they're as overpowered as some of the hyperbole suggests...

How would they be if you could activate an Entosis link (with a faster cycle) on them to lock their mode? (switching their mode for them would be preferable to many I'm sure but...) If they were locked into tank mode for 30 seconds rather than 10 for example perhaps there would be less complaints from them switching to prop mode and running when they realise they've bitten off more than they can chew?

Mode cool down timer skill. Each level gives -20sec on cool down to change modes. Get your T3 Dessy popped, you loose SP on your cool down skill. Base time about 2 minutes. Still, overall, would probably need more refinement.

I'm in it for the money

The idea of neut resistance or immunity for AF's gets me excited in inappropriate fashions.
This generally means it's a bad idea, but I like it... mostly because I've found neuts to be the absolute bane of my ishkur.
Well, sort of. If it's just neuts I can still usually break range and make the warp of shame. If there's a web involved as well it's usually pretty much over.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

Let's just say that in the game where combat time isn't measured in frames of animation 10 seconds is pretty short period. And short period between shuffling your advantages means that you can have any one you need right now.

Which is kind of the point - T3Ds are tankier / faster / more reaching in respective modes than their competition and get to apply every their advantage almost every time it matters the most - as long as pilot knows what's going on, of course, but then, having an option is huge.
