Huge blocking orders on Gnosis & Gecko

There are huge blocking sell orders on both the Gnosis battlecruiser and the Gecko.

At first these may just look like someone attempting to unload their stock but in reality they are strategically placed and have the effect of drying up trader focused demand thereby letting the seller pick up more of the item at a lower cost.
Demand on the gnosis has already all but dried up and prices are at historic lows.
From a purely pragmatic perspective it is an excellent opportunity to load up on both of these items.

Aren't they continuing to release the Gnosis? Or did I miss where they said it was a limited release item?

It's a part of the 10th anniversary edition box.

I thought it was also gifted as an anniversary gift to all active Eve accounts at one point as well? So it was released at two different times and was never said to be only available at those times. Which leave it open to be release again, right?

No they will not be released again outside of the 10th edition box although that thing may continue to stay on the market for years.

But the large sell order in place will prevent the price from growing out of control.

Gecko are at an all time high, and there are hardly any buy orders on it. The "block order" is simply a cash out.
Rather than to buy, I see a good opportunity to sell :) I'll hope to buy at 52.

Re. the Gnosis, the 10th anniversary box from autumn 2013 was in fact not the first, but the second time the Gnosis was available. It was first gifted to all accounts in May 2013 after the fanfest, that is why there are so many of them.

The Gnosis itself has only been released once - it was the 10th anniversary gift.
The Second Decade Collectors edition added to the supply through a five run (IIRC) Gnosis BPC.
The former is responsible for far more of the current supply than the latter.

At the time of posting, in Jita the sell order price was 67 mil. This would have been a good price to sell at, and I had already sold some at that price myself. As I predicted in this thread, the price went down - you can no longer sell at 67 mil.

Rather the whole point of my OP if you read it again. The purpose of large block orders can be to force the price down.

Gnosis is an interesting spaceship, its only issue is that it insures for the 1 Tritanium is takes to build it. Smile

Then again, a loss of a pirate cruiser, for example, is far greater than it would be with the Gnosis, but performance is also highly specialised.

Large block order on the Gnosis has been removed and price on both buy and sell immediately jumped 10% as well as a considerable increase in buy orders.

Geckos were disallowed for AT XIII. So there are probably a lot of them on the market right now, when they would normally be being bought up by AT teams.

As for the Gnosis, idk.
