Need help with video editing

You know that guy, Jonny Pew? At the beginning of every video, he puts that orange plus logo, y'know, like a sort of intro.

I was thinking about doing a logo for my channel, have it pop up on a black background for a few seconds, then make the screen fade to black and then start the video. I'm pretty noobish in video editing, since I have absolutely no experience in that domain. Can anybody help me here with a few tips / instructions, please?

Depends on your intended time investment, what kind of effects you want to achieve etc.

Well, the biggest part of making a logo, in my opinion, is actually thinking of it.
Once you have the idea, drawing it is much easier. Making the static image into a simple video intro is even easier.

So, what do you think would be a good logo for your channel? What does it look like/represent?
More importantly, how is it unique to your channel?

Once you thought of one, making it will depend on the difficulty, but you can always just ask someone if they could do it for you.
