oh, I wasn't looking for a corp I was just wondering if there was a small gang presence in wormholes currently. It just seems like mega t3 blobs is it.

Suspect your just ranting but anyway.

There are alot of small corps in wh space. If you enter their wormhole and they see you... they will either

a - try and kill you with their small 2-5 person gang.
b - log off or POS spin.

Depending on how scary you are or how timid they are.

What you dont see is alot of dedicated WH PvP hunter corps of the small gang size. The reason is because hunting everyday, scanning down 30-50 WHs, is incredibly draining for a small corp. Its really difficult to sustain when you only have 5 or so regular guys to do all the work.

Thats the reason why people move to bigger entites. So they dont have to scan and hunt everyday. Maybe they do it 3 days a week and the rest of the time they wait for a ping while other corp members hunt and scan. Its called sharing the load.

How do I know this -> Myself and a few people ran a dedicated small gang WH hunter corp. We were succussful and killed lots of stuff but in the end it was too time consumuing and took up our entire non work lives. That and we were probably just bad at running a corp or whatever.

This. Small gang WH pvp corps exist, just they are usually quite labor intensive if the members want to have a good kb/ look pro.

I have spent the majority of my Eve career doing small gang/solo stuff in WHs, and there is plenty of content to be had. Its definitely a different flavor than nullsec/lowsec small gang action but it exists.

Everyone in WH space that is able to field large 'blobs' do small gang as well. Some actual space-detective work would show that all of the guys you mentioned do quite a bit of small gang stuff. Some members even doing solo work, to mixed levels of success

It almost seems like you're downplaying a corp based on it's ability to field larger numbers, as if that's a bad thing.

Being successful isn't a bad thing. Nor is the ability to deploy a fleet adequate enough to dispatch otherwise impossible groups of ships IE: multiple capitals in site w/ Sleepless Guardians etc etc.

PvP is PvP

Short version:

If there's a corp like spectraliiz next door, you can expect to have much fun over the evening with many small skirmishes.
If there's a superserious PVP-CORP that's actually just a blob of carebears next door, you notice when their 5 man vangaurd consists of 2 prots, 2 guardians and a falcon.

Well, you know, if you're too lazy and can't think for yourself then sure, move to the bigger entities.

I reject the assertion there's no small gang (or indeed this apparent "microgang" crap) or it's too difficult. What EXIT does is has a critical mass of listless couch-swooners and enough discipline to rage roll for pvp. You still have to scan 50 wormholes, but it's much easier when someone else does it, and it's your static you are popping every 10 minutes. You can sit around with your headset off, waiting for the ping, while playing Fashion Assault Mew Mew Kitty.

It's also interesting, given you guys were based in Derelik, and want daytripping wormholes and spelunked out of highsec and, when not irrationally scared of lowsec like always, sometimes managed to jump gate to hothomou, that you say you got burned out. There's a massive difference between probing for 6 jumps in every direction and going down the rabbit hole a wormhole or two, and putting 50 wormholes every 3 hours onto your C4 chain.

The difference between slumming hisec and living in a wormhole is that while w-space living is annoying in it's own way, it does force you to actually do stuff. So it's all down to this: loo lazy for w-space small gang, move to k-space for w-space small gang and get too lazy for that, then join a big entity and claim it's everyone else's fault. Got it.

There is plenty of small (micro?) gang wormhole content. You just have to YOLO, jump frig holes, and treat k-space as having space cooties.

It's condescending, not raging. And being so is totally en vogue around the block, considered rude even to not be.

It's what seperates us from anim... K-Space Dwellers.

Though more to the point there are definitly Small Gang/Hunter PVP corps in WH space. I would also disagree with Jack Above and say they exist in higher class holes as well (C5 for sure. Not too sure about C6)

C6 smallscale is probably a nag, a nid, a vindicator and a sabre or something like that. Sorta like a vigilant/tornado/heroscythe skirmish group, just bigger.

If you can't defend yourself Mont, it's OK, there's always forum kite meta. Just move away, keep at range...

C5-C6 "micro gang" is, eg, iso5 taking a solo moros, Bhaal and a couple of other ships in vs 4 hostile dreads, punching their donuts, and withdrawing. i'm sure Foetus can link your the BR. That's good schnitzel, that is.

Also, anyone who advertises their corp as "micro gang PVP" is basically covering up for the fact there's 80 toons in corp but only 3 active players, or something like that. Cough Red Fire cough. Caveat Emptor, dear recruits.

To be fair we have 37 toons in corp.
