I was thinking about hosting a contest for the capsuleers of new eden, but not your usual PVP fair... well at least not directly.

I was thinking about hosting a race for blockade runner pilots.

My plan was a route of 100ish systems, through NPC null, lowsec and high sec, with between 3 and 5 waypoints to prevent silly techniques like clone jumping to the finish line.

I'm willing to put down a prize pool of 1-2 bil isk, if people want to donate to the cause i'd be greatful.

The rules I've come up with so far:

1) The blockade runner will have to carry a cargo of at least 5000m3. (Something of no major value)

2) Any route between destinations is allowed, including WH space connections, cyno-ing, as long as the blockade runner you start in is the one that crosses the finish line.

3) All pilots must hit each of the waypoints in order in order to qualify for a finishing time (i'll probably do this by having a representative at each system docked in station, and the participants will have to trade them like 1k of their cargo, and post in local)

4) Pilots can have characters help them out, or hinder their opponents, but they're responsible for making it happen (and paying them if need be)

5) Other than the starting system of the race, the waypoints will not be known before the race begins. If its prudent, i may have it set up that you'll only know the next waypoint and have to find the next point when you reach that destination.

Anyone interested in participating/helping out?

If you're interested, either reply here, shoot me a mail in game, or join the channel "Cannonball Run 2015" (I operate primarily during USTZ, so if i'm not on right away, don't worry)
