Taking the next step

I began to live in w-space recently (a few months), and since even more recently i began to fly an Astero for pvp, aside from SBs. But i feel that while fun, both type of ships are getting limited to the type of pvp i am beggining to love, the cloaky hunter style. What type of ship do you think it is a good choice for the next step? Stratios? Cloaky T3 (Proteus)? Combat Recon ships?

Stratios and proteus are good choices for cloaky ganks. I have both and like them for different reasons. Strat has a good few choices with shield or armour. Proteus is great for pinning someone down with scram/web and then melting them with blasters.

As for other t3s I think the only other decent cloaky one is the Loki.

Combat recons are still fairly squishy although I recently fought a acnil repped (shield) rook that I couldn't break in my stratios solo. Not sure about the other tbh

I don't need twitter. I'm already following you.

Stratios is the quickest to train into effectively and probably has the best damage output, too. Just don't over invest in it, you will bite on bait, soon enough.

I mean sure, dont officer fit it but faction EANMs and T2 rigs are perfectly fine on them.

Pilgrim, because Nueting at 30km is much safer when it goes pear shaped Big smile

Hehehehe, neuting from that distance is a good way to pvp, but i am hearing the Stratios`s siren call (already have the skills to fly it). My only concern is the Gecko`s price, 64M each.

Sounds like solo small gang pvp go Stratios
No training hit for loss, inherent covert, drone and lazer damage

if you have guns on your stratios then you are fitting it wrong.

I prefer the ASB pilgrim over the stratios. But seriously, if you have the backup to bail you out and don't run solo, get a stratios.

Cloaky sabre is a fav of mine..

au tz has these problems with ticks etc, thus locking certain ships is near impossible in a cruiser.

that said im bowled a 5/10 ded site with sentrys and heavies..

in regards to geckos, I webbed a guys geckos the other day and forced him to jump / leave with out them, then scoped them whilst he was gone.. then warped.

Taking other peoples geckos is the best..
