I am planning to replace this laptop with that one. Does EVE support that 5K?

Game runs okay at 4k for me on Windows, I would imagine the mac version should too as it also runs at 2880x1800 on my rMBP. The only problem may be your UI scaling is capped at 140% which is getting borderline small at 4k as it is.

Hey man, I am currently considering buying a Retina 5K with a R9 295x 4GB, can u give me a hint about framerates? specially frame rate drops during warp / undocks / incarna / busy grids.

I know an iMac is not a gaming rig, but it would be really cool to be able to play seamlessly with it.

I'm consistently seeing in excess of 80+ fps on my setup, which has identical specs. This is with all the graphical goodies set to max (medium shader).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I have spoken to a few people who have used the 5K iMac. Said it looked great.

If you have an Apple Store or something near by - go talk to one of the techs (take a copy of EVE with you if you can, or see if they will let you DL a copy) and test.

I used to do that for people back when I worked at a campus Apple Store.
Heck I did a lot of stuff for people while I was there - wedding videos, school music/video projects. Miss that job so much.

(The guest account on a Mac deletes anything done to it after log out, so the testing of EVE shouldn't be that hard to do or a major problem for them)

And I remember having Starcraft matches between co-workers and customers as well.

"The Lord loosed upon them his fierce anger All of his fury and rage. He dispatched against them a band of Avenging Angels" - The Scriptures, Book II, Apocalypse 10:1

I got a friend that works at an apple store, I should see if he can get the software put on to one of the systems to see how it performs.
