Mass test on Duality on Thursday, 25th June, at 17:00 EVE-time

Hi!
We are planning a special mass test on Duality on Thursday, June 25th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time).

Important: The sovereignty playtest in Providence and Catch will be paused from 16:30 until 18:30 - CCP will enforce this and if necessary revert any progress made during this time.

What exactly is being tested?
  • Sovereignty changes
  • Server and client performance


How to connect to Duality for this test:

Test steps:
Probably similar to following, systems will be decided later:

  1. Meet in system Y-2ANO (outside of target constellation)
  2. Mass jump into ZXB-VC (in target constellation)
  3. Spread out over the whole constellation in small groups and capture as many sites as possible
  4. Jump to system M2-XFA and warp to station
  5. Reinforce station with MANY entosis links - no PVP
  6. Start PVP after several minutes (wait for the command by CCP)
  7. Ceasefire (optimally when station is reinforced) and warp away
  8. Spread out over the whole constellation
  9. Capture the freeport in 5-CQDA - combat allowed - free for all!


What else should I know?
  • Bring appropriate ships for sov warfare - Please fit Entosis Links if possible (and don't forget strontium clathrates)
  • Fleets will be mostly player organized, but there will also be a CCP organized fleet
  • For moving to the test system - use /moveme
  • 2M Skill points will be awarded on both Singularity and Duality for this mass test

Will we have /moveme commands on Duality for the masstest? I just logged on to check and the only option we have to move to Amarr.

Yes, we will be moving interested corporations into a test alliance and we will also accept individual applications. More info about this tomorrow.

/moveme commands will be available tomorrow. It looks like we will stage in Fountain in Y-2 and attack the next constellation in Delve - more info also tomorrow.

Please excuse this SOV newb but can someone please tell me what kind of ship fits this bill? I tried searching for info on it but all I get are discussions about SOV warfare in general, nothing about ships.

Thank you for this answer as I was wondering that too. I tried to get others from my corp involved but it's a work day for them (I work nights). So I will be the only one from my corp participating. Wasn't sure if individual applicants would be accepted. Now I know. Thanks again.

in general , any ship capable fit Entosis Link ( preferably t2 version with 2 min cycle ) in high slot. Plus some Strontium Clathrates in cargo ( 1 unit per cycle ). And you have to keep in mind , that some pvp anounced :)

Thanks for the info. I got to chatting with someone on the Duality server a couple of hours ago and since my Gallente BS skill level is the highest of what I have trained he said I might as well go with a Navy Issue Megathron. With any luck I'll do some damage before I get taken out.

A very BIG thank you for pointing that out. Right now my mind is set towards fitting the Megathron, so that never even crossed my mind. I would have put the Entosis Link on the ship and not had any fuel for it.

Yeah, I saw that it was going to be PVP after the Entosis Link part. Once that starts I expect to be taken out pretty quickly, but before I go I'll be sure to do as much damage as possible. Big smile

i'm thinking about t3 cruiser with covert ops , interdiction nullifier , strong tank , 2sb , high sensor strengts ...
at least i'll be able to warp at some distance from target , lock it and stay alive 4 minutes ( warm - up cycle and actual working cycle ) . do some damage and then warp out from bubbles .
