explorer Stratios designed with hacking and survival in mind

Since, as soon as (and if) I get out of null-sec, my new and shiny (for now) Strat should be delivered, wanted to poke around for some decent explorer fits designed with survivability in mind.

I've already got something like this on my mind:

It's main purpose, besides scanning and hacking of course, is to survive and escape PvP encounters so buffer tank (~50k EHP) and jamming drones. It can also "bite" with drones, If pushed through the wall.

My main concerns at the moment are the remaining high slots and the rest of the drone bay. Will the small neut+NOS combo do any good? What drones to add besides Hobs+Wars for small, fast targets and Gardes for bigger ones?

Any advice and/or constructive criticism will be appreciated.

Never piloted a Stratios so I have no idea what I'm talking about in terms of agility but I'm sure those 1600 plates don't help with faster aligning.

In my opinion the plate tank is rather fit for site baiting/ gate choking than exploration.
Tried to fit a large ancillary instead the medium one and a dda instead plates?

Also a single medium neut would probably be more effective and you could use small blasters or another weapon of choice in the left upper slots for dealing with an already neuted fast close range scrammer while your drones engage another eventual target or defend against hostile drones.

Survivability means "not getting tackled" Your fit, as tough as it may be, will die to any scram followed by the blob. Warp Core Stabs are needed here. NOS is useless in this setup, as you do not want a prolonged engagement, you want to warp out as soon as possible.
Plate on an exploration stratios is only needed if you do ghost sites for surviving the self destruct. In any other case, it -lowers- your survivabilty.
100mn Afterburner is better than MWD, as it works after the scram. If someone chases you down and lands tackle, you need to neut and get out of tackle before the blob lands.

The game plan was to try to stay alive long enough for either ECM drones to jam the tackler or combat drones to kill it.

This is an interesting variation but (with) my skills it has barely any tank and align time is less then a sec faster the my first setup minus the plates.

Dropped the plates for an MAAR to provide the (additional) buffer without altering the align time. The 3 medium neuts plus ECM drones should boost my chances to break the tackle.
