launcher issues

so im having a problem with the launcher.

i put in my pw and log in..... ok np.
then the play button is greyed out i cant click play.
i have tried the repair tool and it didn't help.

anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Bypass the launcher by launching bin\exefile.exe from your install folder.

the solution is to just not use the launcher.

Usually the greyed out play button occurs when a patch is being downloaded and the client updated.

Progress doesn't always show in the progress bar at the bottom.

So if repair.exe doesn't work try just leaving the launcher longer.

once i left the launcher just sitting there, it logged in. there was no patch, just slow to load im guessing

Not really. The launcher is a mess and having to do the above, only goes to highlight that fact.

I've seen a bunch of reports of that happening, and it happened to me the first time today, I had just booted up and opened a whole bunch of stuff quickly threw my PW into the launcher and it just crapped itself. I have a feeling if I had just waited like a second it would have been fine. When I relaunched it it was fine.

mine is still doing it, however if i leave it sit for a few minutes it loads. how ever bypassing the launcher works perfectlly. thats chirrba for that you are awesome.

It corrects this problem.

I'm not saying that the launcher doesn't have problems. I'm not saying it doesn't need more work.

Getting CCP to update the launcher to something entirely fit for purpose is something I've been poking them about for a while.
