Heh.

You mean even more hilarious than Harry Forever who keeps posting "pvp"-videos in MyEVE of him falling for killright-scams in Jita?

Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look at it. Cool

They were at 10 mil already before I took my Eve-break 6 months ago.
How can you compete economically in times like these if you don't factor in inflation into your pricing policies?

Hello Zimmy

This is a good question and I am glad you asked.

The funds of the mining permit money are in no way our income, that would be far to low to sustain our continuing efforts to make the whole of Highsec compliant with the Code. It is just a token to show your support to the New Order and to separate the compliant gallant citizen from the goofus bot-aspirants.

It is also independent from any ransom you may have to pay if the authorities catch you without a permit.

I hope this clears things up.

I'm sorry to hear that brother.. But two things. And please, I'm not trying to troll

1. I'm pretty sure you can't moon mine in hs, so if you can't defend your freighter, how will you defend a pos?

2. Freighters insurance is excellent! Payout ensures you have enuff isk in pocket to just go buy another. Then all you have to do is 400 or so million to ensure it again...

Also, two years in game and 2billon isk loss breaks you? You have been leading a sheltered life my friend.

Never could get code to truly say that a mining permit would get them to leave you alone if you tanked your freighter properly. The "spirit" of the code allows them to still gank you because if they dont you're a bot aspirant or something.

A mining permit is not a pass to violate the Code. In other words: A drivers licence does not permit you to ignore all the traffic signs.

like i said. Buy a permit, properly tank freighter, follow all code crap, they'll still hit you when they feel like it, even if you arent doing anything against the code, you're still gonna get ganked by them because of "spirit" of the code.

If you get caught by CODE. then there's a >98% chance you weren't following the terms and conditions of the permit.

I know I mentioned this in my last post but seriously thank you some of you for your harsh, unkind but mostly valid points regarding what had happened this morning.

I enjoy the challenges EVE gives, that's why I started to l play it in the first place, this morning however felt unfair hence the outburst and perhaps I had become a bit too complacent.

I've decided to keep my sub going and try again, learn from the mistakes and see where that leads us.

Also, thanks for the heads up about Carrie, her posts are now hidden!

Damn it don't do that. I was all ready to link you post as PRIME example of the kind of person who is better off not playing EVE...

...Then you post the one sentence that demonstrates EVE is a good choice of game for you. I am Le Confused now, and you've thrown off my balance.

Thank you very much for your elaborated answer.!

Although, I must admit, I find the notion that a valiant knight of the New Order could be bribed by bot aspirants via ransoms a little unsettling- but then again, I assume those occurences are probably rare exceptions to the rule.

Regards,

Zimmy

*proof* and nah, because you and I both know its true, so I'm not going to bother finding the killmails and threads that would then be "proven" to be untrue due to some violation of the "spirit"

That being said, I rag on ya guys, but last time you guys took me for 380 mill ransom for not having a "mining" permit to fly a freighter it made me love eve all the more. You keep doing what you guys do, its amusing. But I'm still not going to trust a permit.

We were hoping to set up POS’s to start moon mining and ice mining - something we’d been looking forward to for some time and building up towards it but with the loss of our only freighter and Orca it now means that our plan is on indefinite hiatus.
Just as we had started to get somewhere we’re pushed to the ground and now we just don’t feel like getting up again.

all they did was teach you something valuable;

you're clearly unwilling/unable to protect your assets. if you can't get up after losing 2 ships then quite frankly, it's best for your members to leave and join corps that are willing/able to protect their assets.

Hello again Zimmy

This "ransoms" are in no way bribes, on the contrary. It's just like with any other law enforcement, you first get a ticket for the law violation, if you fail to comply the officer may need to decommission your equipment.
