Fastest way to Lvl 4 agent

I'm grinding to lvl 4 with a new corp. Currently I'm at lvl 2 with a storyline agent in the same station as my lvl 2 agent. So every 15 missions I get a nice pop in standings by doing a storyline mission for the same corp I'm grinding.

So here's my question. Would it be faster to just stay at level 2 and take advantage of the storyline agent or move on to a level 3 agent and do those knowing that when storylines pop up it will be for some corp I don't care about?

I don't care about increased rewards or LP from lvl 3 vs lvl 2 missions... just trying to get to lvl 4 ASAP.

Connections: 3
Social: 3

Thanks for the help.

It's always faster to move up as soon as you can handle the missions. Also I wouldn't worry so much about the storylines unless you are interested in faction standings. I'm not even sure if storylines give corp standings tbh, I'd just save the travel time and grind faster.

I used to run about 4 level 3s at the same time. Try and find a string of systems where you can get them and the missions in. Pretty damn fast at upping the standings.

Yes they do give corp standings, around 2% usually, compared to ~0.5% for a regular mission. But I hear ya, thanks for the input!

Tbh...

fastest way assuming you have a friend runnign mission for that agent you need/desire.

he shares mission rewards with you and you both grindhis missions till you got standings..

can be done in a few hours at most.

I helped a friend intoa lvl 4 agent and with two nightmares we kicked ass and about 4 hours and some change later he had access.

This can certainly speed you along and provide a decent chunk of isk/LP rewards that you would otherwise be missing out on. Though the question stands of what ships you can handle. If you can comfortably handle Battlecruisers, or well fit Cruisers, than you should move on to L3 missions ASAP. There's no point in sticking around in L2 missions if you could be making greater progress for each hour spent.

How fast you can progress really just depends on how efficiently you can grind standings from your agents. This is bottlenecked by your skill que, which should be aimed at getting yourself in to a bigger boat to take on some of the nastier creatures out in the sea (cwutididthur?). Beyond that it's down to standings.

Train for Battlecruisers so that you can get a jump start on L3 missions once your standing increases. Repeat for your next step with L4 mission Battleships L4.

Train up your Social skills, especially Connections skill. That will increase your current positive standings and just might unlock the level 3 agents.

Fastest way is a combination of using social skills and to make sure your storyline agent is in the same coorporation you are doing missions for. Than you can make fast to finish courier missions and combat missions to get awesome standing increases for your favourite npc coorporation. Fly safe Newbies and Oldbees.
