[UI] Improve "shopping lists"

Not sure if it's a repost of old idea, so I apologize in advance if there's a problem.

Buying several ships with full fits may be a PITA sometimes. Thankfully, we can save "shopping lists" and it's good that we can create them by just dragging and dropping saved fits into market window. Unfortunately, we still must use regular buying procedure for every component (module, ship, rig, charges...). This system also doesn't track amount of each item you need to buy per ship (in our case).

I propose to introduce a way to "buy with two clicks" everything on particular "shopping list" with the ability to specify amount of sets of items you want.

For example, you pick a fit, location within your market interaction range, chose an option to buy N such fits, get a list of items you're about to buy (with prices, amounts and totals), then confirm your purchases. Notes in red that something isn't on sale at your location of choice are necessary.
It probably should be noted when your client is going to pull items from different sell orders (if lowest one doesn't have enough items).

Obviously, it's mostly for those who use market hubs where everything can be bought often.

It's also doesn't have to be just fits. For example, sets of materials needed for production of a particular item, sets of skillbooks for your newbros etc. would be nice application of such shopping lists.

Please let me know if there's something to address here.

This surely would make life easier, but for now, this actually looks like a great business idea, a corporation could become a dedicated ship fitter, you just mail them a list of fits and location where you want them delivered, and they do all the busy work, then contract you the finished ships for Jita price +5-10% convenience fee.

I'll crudely Photoshop an image of Helen Thomas onto a picture of your choosing for 30m. PM me.

More like: complete a feature so that using it takes 3 clicks rather than 40.

I mean, we can fit ships using saved fits, I guess dragging and dropping them module by module was hard, damn you CCP for catering to scrubs P

Perhaps. I think that some people would actually save money using such service - as long as they are willing to practice "time is money" idea.

+1 Wish it was simplified as well...A buy all fitting button would be a HUGE time saver. Why unnecessarily complicate stuff? Ever heard of KISS , Keep it Simple Stupid?

It's just amazing! Roll

And you think having a way to buy everything you need for a fit in one click, in an unregulated market full of scammers, is simple?

StraightWhat?SmileBig smileLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLolLol

Oh, that's funny.

Go to any trade hub and watch local for 5 minutes. All those scams you see? Those are there because people are stupid. Giving people yet another way to not pay attention to what their doing is not a good idea. Your "HUGE time saver" just became another way to seperate you from your isk. Just a little market manipulation, and you're easily paying double or more for your fit, cause you're too impatient to actually look at the market and buy low.

Why unnecessarily complicate stuff? The better question is why should we reduce the intelligence required to play the game down to trained monkey level? Remember, simple ideas are for simple minds.

I don't think interface has anything to do with intelligence needed, it's more about amount of clicks, nothing more.

As for scamming, it's your fault for not reading subtotals, so...

I agree with that statement, because "OH SH**! Just sold mah deadspace mod for 1/25th of teh pice while batchselling... >_<' ". Already possible for batchselling, so no reason to refuse batchbuying because of that.
