Not getting the right DPS on all my missile ships getting only 224 dps on pyfa ver 1.11.0 and in eve I get 394.4 dps that is on a Caracol with rapid light and fury nova with implants

It's the new MWD labelling from the latest round of tiercide. Apparently to give a better indication of the thrust produced, or something.

1MN MWD = 5MN MWD
10MN = 50MN
100MN = 500MN

Edit: Question for knowledgeable people; does the ingame ship fitter take into account all modules running for your capacitor times? I fit up a Jackdaw in SiSI, and in Pyfa, and the capacitor times are wildly different.

Update for carnyx is up! Check release page - at the same place as always.

Check if you have reload time factored in (RMB the dps value).

Thanks now getting the right DPS had the reload time factored in

After installing Carnyx and launching PYFA I get the notification:


Unable to execute file:
C:\Program Files(X86)\pyfa\pyfa.exe

CreateProcess failed; code 740.


Reinstalled it, same error. Why does PYFA break every time it updates?

Odd problem, a couple of fits are broken and will not load. Nor can they be deleted. How would I go about deleting them manually?

I'm assuming you used the *.exe download and have a Windows system. Try downloading the *.zip file, unzip and then run the pyfa.exe from the unzipped folder. I always use the *.zip and it works for me. If I don't want to traverse the folder, I can simply create a shortcut to the pyfa.exe file on my desktop (or start menu, or taskbar).

Same problem, any news on how to solve it? Apparently this broke when I started projecting effects from other ships - like logi reps on DPS ships etc.

Hi folks! Blitzmann here on an alt account. My main account is inactive and will be for a little while. I just recently returned from a 2 month trip, and I have other things to attend to so EVE is out of it for a bit.

I am still helping out with pyfa tho, so let me answer some questions.

In fact, I just committed some stuff to the wx3 branch that fixes some massive gtk console spam. It's fairly stable on Linux and Windows, OS X has a few glitches. We'll try to put together another wx3 prerelease. This is one of my top priorities as wx3 seems to be coming into more and more distro's repos, and some are dropping 2.8.

The HTML file is not meant to be a backup, and cannot be re-imported into pyfa. However, you can open it in the in game browser, and then click on each fit. It will open a fitting window, in which you can then copy the EFT fit back into pyfa. It's a roundabout way of doing it, but it works if the html file is all you have

For those having issues with fits that won't load, shoot me a mail at sable.blitzmann@gmail.com and I can take a look at it. Most likely it's a corrupted database, a solution for which I plan to work on soon.

most likely your skills or something. in game value matches eve value for me.

Also, if you are going to report a bug, give a little more info. At the very least a fit. =)
