Ship failed to disappear after pilot logged out, over 1 hour

Hello all,

I just had an interesting issue occur with one of my corpies.

The character logged out of Eve at approx 1200, his ship was still in space showing him as the pilot at 1400 Eve time but the pilot listed was not in local or logged into game.

Potential bug?

I waited with the ship until we managed to get hold of the member.. it was well over 20mins that i was waiting and the issue was reported to me by an alliance mate another 20min before that. and just to clarify, this was not at a POS, the ship was just drifting in space for an hour or more

I have screen shots of the Corp member tab / Local and my overview etc if any CCP member wants to see?

Just to avoid the obvious: this is not at a POS, right?

Correct, not at a POS.. normal space.

the member was drifting off stn, inline with undock. approx 500km.... member believes he logged whilst docked but regardless the ship still should have disappeared even if he hit undock before logging out..

Ship speed was 87ms / distance 500km

only thing i can think of is that his Eve client didnt close fully on his computer.. Task Mgr, Processes. ive asked him to check when he next logs out

how that would effect things im not sure as he was definately logged-out of game e.g was not in local, was not in corp chat. Member tab showed his log-offf time etc
