Thanks Ralph. That was actually a pretty scary fight for an incursus.
At the time I had no idea what he was worth, only that I'd actually gotten a fight out of a pirate cruiser.
I was pretty well gobsmacked at the results.

This means that if we happen to meet there will be bloodshed. It wont be because we hate each other, it wont be because we disagree on this or that... it's because we're at war.

Wars can be and are started here. They get finished in the game. By saying what you have to say with the face of the character that actually has something to lose you can cultivate respect from others. It shows that you're willing to put your money where your mouth is, and people around here can understand that kind of thinking. You generate empathy to some degree that way.

Saying that you're an alt and proud of it is kind of the opposite approach to the situation. You kind of are shouting to the world that you fear the consequences of your opinion in this matter, where if it was truly important to you you'd be proud to stand up with your main and say what you have to say.

Oh, and PS: Yes, I shoot MTU's. I do it to get bears to shoot at me. I do it so I can get fights like...

Were you to be posting with your main I'd be having a look at your board as well, and were it half as awesome as you seem to be trying portray yourself you'd likely cultivate some of that respect from me.


Omar, thank you for an excellent post - I really appreciate it (for what it is worth). Actually I apologise for mocking you and to be honest I would not have if you had posted something like this (long or not!) when you initially spoke to me.

Your points are very valid - and if I were here to stir up any trouble or was going to be a provocative f**ker I'd totally agree that posting in the main is how I should proceed.
I don't want wars - I just want to enjoy some great posts, comment where I feel I can be positive and hopefully not get caught up in anything controversial.
In fact I've posted many times in C&P on my main - but like I said when I saw the "GTFO" comments to an alt I found them unacceptable so I'm making a stand.

Respect is earned - maybe I will gain respect by being a reasonable person on here - or maybe I'll just be ignored and gain zero respect.....

Again apologies for talking about your KB - you are playing the game how you want and having fun - my KB is full of non shooting back POS and RCU so I can't really talk ;-) def don't claim to be uber PVP or über anything - just played the game a LONG time so I make my stands where I can

It's amusing because they are followed up with a brief explanation on why. Hell the guy we posted it for that you seemed to take offense on his behalf posted on his main and got great advice. Would you rather we skip the standard introduction to alts and just get straight to the trolling with scams, terrible advice etc?

Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to extend a cordial invitation to post with your main here.

We shoot each other quite frequently around here, and oftentimes it's simply comforting to know that you're talking to someone that you've exchanged blows with in the past. It also does open up opportunities to get involved directly in whatever shenannigans that may be ongoing at any given moment.

As you live in null, the chances of bad things happening to you due to your opinions are somewhat mitigated, albeit not completely nullified (a funny). It doesn't change the fact that your true face will always be considered more credible than that of your alt, just for 'being taken seriously's sake and all that.

The real problem lies in that so many butthurt bears come here to rage about the unfairness of life that we develop a knee-jerk reaction of instant hostility towards the faceless. So long as that continues it's going to be a hard task to keep that reaction in check.

Would it be beneficial to add definitions for frequently used terms, such as 'Bear' (and it's sub-variants, Care- Gank- and Null-) and 'Content'?
