Issue with Steam Connected Account and the Duality Launcher

One of my character accounts is connected to Steam. I recently created a user name for that account to simplify my log-in process.

I have discovered, however, that when I try to log into the Duality test server with my Stream related account, the Duality launcher does not recognize my new user name. Since I am also unable to use Steam to launch the Duality launcher, I cannot access Duality with my Steam related account.

Am I missing something obvious here? Is there a simple fix to my problem?
