BEST CORP EVER.

I bounced around among several corps before landing in Chemically Unbalanced, and this is the first corp that I really felt welcomed into as a person, rather than as a disposable newbie. I've learned a TON of cool stuff, thanks to the guys in this corp. They're always willing to teach newer players how to do just about anything, whether it's making money, fitting ships, navigating the far reaches of space, scanning, exploration, mining, PvP... you name it, they know about it, and they're more than happy to teach it to others.

As a newb, I got turned off by a lot of other corps due to their concept of "fleet doctrine". They would say, "Here are the ships we fly as a corp. If you don't fly one of these ships, exactly with the fits we tell you to use, you're not welcome in fleets." And sure, that's their prerogative -- it's their fleet, so they can run it however they like. But it ruined the sandbox aspect of the game for me. There are hundreds of ships in this game, each bringing some weird niche or playstyle, yet it always came down to just a handful I was allowed to sit in if I wanted to join in on the fun.

That's not how Chemically Unbalanced operates. When I joined, I had a big interest in Amarr ships. They have craploads of armor, and they shoot laser beams. They seemed hardy and tough, and I loved the aspect of being able to instantly swap my laser crystals to adapt to whatever range my opponents were at. All in all, it just felt cool to fly Amarr.

In Chemically Unbalanced, I wasn't asked to abandon my love of Amarr ships and start training for Ishtars, or any of that nonsense. Instead, the CU guys just asked me what I like to fly, and I said Amarr -- frigates and cruisers. So they asked to see my fits, and they gave me some pointers on how to get more out of the ships I liked. I was invited to join fleets immediately, and we had a blast. AND I'M STILL HAVING A BLAST TO THIS VERY DAY.

These guys are great. Anyone looking to play Eve on their own terms, yet still have a great group of people at your back, cheering you on and teaching you how to excel... This is where you should be.

I gotta say, Stoz is dead on the money with these guys! I was a "Lapsed" oldbie re-activating my accounts after a rather long hiatus and when I got back the eve I knew was a wasteland of dead zombie corps, spammy scammers and miles of angry kids belt ratting miners in hi sec. All well and good. Love those guys but I was looking for people that talked and joked and killed with a smile and found that in CU. They let you fly what you want and to that end help you get where YOU want to be, not where the "Corp" needs you. Screw that, that sounds like work. Miners, builders, mission runners couriers hell, they even let a creepy Role player in. And it all works. If you want to be the best filthy murderous peg legged skin wearing pirate you can be, a stoic miner or just have fun. You know, fun, the point of a game? CU just might have it's CROSSHAIRS ON YOU NOW! GET OUTTA THERE! THAT CHICK STARTS TO EAT HER KILLS BEFORE THEY ARE EVEN DEAD!!! No really, Talk to these guys, get in the chat channel and you will know after the first round of hellos these guys are legit.

I agree 100% with everything Stoz has said. Being a new player I have bounced around more than a few corporations trying to find the right one. These guys gave me a home and have been incredibly helpful getting me up to speed in the game. Big shout out to the CU crew!
