Watch list itself says very little and has other uses besides. I believe the option you're looking for is 'log in as invisible'.... or something

System needs to be changed so that if you wish to know when I have logged in, You have to be my friend (IE: I have ticked a box somewhere that lets you add me to your watch list.)

Yes, -1 = '"Leave untouched", +1 = "remove" (no more 'free' intel but with the caveat, there would probably have to be some discussion on 'how' to remove...)

I say, 0 - touched, not removed.

Just make it so you can't be watchlisted without your permission. That way we keep them as a nice social feature, leave the opportunity for creative social engineer-ish spying in form of pretending to be friends and getting the permission, but remove the unnecessary free intel. Move that online notification to locator agents, so it has a cost and requires you to interact with an agent if you want that intel, then it's somewhat justifiable that you get it, getting it for free isn't.
