Pilot Kontrahage is Amarr. He has roots in the State, but that is his identity, now.

The Amarr I serve would disagree. I only just begun the process of my conversion and am not yet an Amarr citizen.
I might never be one myself as the traditional course of this takes several generations. Yet I must accept that I am no
Caldari either by any definition.
Neither do I not follow the dominant culture of the state nor do I remain in it's service.

I will, and that might be a reason for me never personally attaining full amarrian citizenship, never seize to be Achura.
I have not forsaken my ancestors. I don't even agree to the notion of having rejected our ways.
To me the one the Amarr call GOD is the totality we all come from and will return to, the guiding principle of all creation.
While many Achuran communities honour even more seperate spirits I see them all united in HIM.

The only true difference this makes is that in recognizing HIM as one I can no longer restrain myself to spiritual contemplation alone
but have to submit myself to HIS expressed will and serve to the best of my abilities.
It is hence only a different way experiencing and exercising our ways.

Transcript of the Sermon on the Justification of the Reclaiming

Few things have contributed more to the doubts being raised of the justification of the Reclaiming than the last two hundred years of conflict in New Eden.

The races that have been encountered and the relativistic outlook that they mistakenly share have put Amarrians in the position of being scorned and hated for striving to enlighten publicly their faith to the ignorant masses.

Some formerly staunch Amarrian groups have changed theological course, moving away from the orthodox understanding of God and his faith, thus compromising the effectiveness of the Reclaiming.

Further some Amarrians have also been prone to complicate or erroneously expand their understanding of the Reclaiming — playing down the expansion of the faith in favor of diplomatic causes and other unorthodox endeavors, allowing the Reclaiming to become secondary in such acts.

God calls Amarrians to return to the mandate of the Reclaiming, recognizing that being Amarr is nothing without the drive to spread God’s word. If it is not reaching, converting and multiplying the faithful, it is not Amarrian.

Reclaiming is a grace from God, not a skill, it is not something that succeeds or fails because of human strength. Reclaiming is God’s work, and it will go on with or without Amarr and God and his saving justice will not be thwarted by our inactivity. Amarrians must become focused on spreading the faith through acts of rigid justice and expansion.

In the Reclaiming of God’s people, then, both words and deeds are necessary.
The Faith must be proclaimed to all – that is the mission of God and so that is the purpose of the Amarrians. Let our deeds speak louder than our words!

Your most humble and lowly of servants

Rahj Ka

Sir, all I've seen from your reclaiming is failure. Failure to hold onto your lands, failure to take new ones, and failure in foreseeing the inevitable decline in the Amarr with the increasingly ill Empress and the Failed Emperor before her. Either your god is weak or his people.

If it looks like a duck and it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck.

You're an Achuran who follows the Amarrian faith. Whatever you think that does to how Achuran you are or aren't I will leave to the experts (The Achuran readers) but you are absolutely not Caldari - and that opinion has less to do with not following the Way of the Winds than your complete disconnectedness from Heiian and the Caldari Way.

Some speak of the Caldari Way and the Way of the Winds as if they are completely entangled, but my experience has included Achurans who followed the faith of the fields and shrines and were, yet, worthy and fully participating Citizens of the State. So, yes, you're Jaijii - and that's got absolutely nothing to do with you being from Saisio instead of New Caldari Prime, my friend, and everything to do with... well... the list is long and I doubt you want to hear it.

And, frankly, my ancestors would choke before I gave a damn about the opinion of 'the Amarrians you serve' on whether you are or are not Caldari, although I do agree it's likely they'll never accept you as fully Amarrian either.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

If you ask a Caldari if you are one of them, and they say yes, then you are Caldari.

If you ask a Caldari if you are one of them, and they say no, then you are not Caldari.

There's no shame in any of this. You are who you are, how could you be anyone else?

Your path has led you away from us, for now at least. Perhaps we shall walk together again later.

I have in true Intaki fashion deliberated, cogitated, considered and philosophized over the OP's point. From this thorough treatment of the supposition put forward I can only conclude that it is utter bollocks.

Brother Kontrahage, perhaps we should meet some time and discuss about our similar experiances on identity. I, too, had to balance not being recognised as Caldari by the State, while not being truely accepted as Amarr by the True Amarr. Send me a mail of when you might be free if you would be interested.
