A request for sort button for skill training

I would like to request for a sort button for skill queue. Now that the 24hr skill queue restriction has been removed, I would like to request for the ability to sort the skill queue in ascending / descending order of time to complete the skill.

I don't see why this is useful.

It'd be more useful to sort by SP/hour rate so that you gain SP faster.

Either way on the OP idea.
I personally do not see any advantage to this but I do not see any harm in it being a thing either so I will stay on the fence here.

If you want it and CCP is willing to provide it I am OK with it however.
I am simply curious to know how and why you think this would be more useful than the OP.
For me and I suspect for most players SP over time is not what we train for. We train to make the most of our ships / fits as we possibly can over a given period of time and that is not always determined by the most SP/hour.

I do.

If I have 50 skills in my queue, I want the shorter ones gone faster so I can get more in. As is, I have to sort it manually, which is a pain. With a button, I can free up the space I need to add more things without any hassle.

It's a 50 skill limit, and I find myself adding to it as often as I can, especially when I'm training an alt.

Fair enough. I hadn't considered that.

My alts are all at the point where skills take days.

Why even argue about SP/hr vs. shortest -> longest? If you're going to add a sort feature, why not add both so people can choose what they think is best for them? Hell, as long as we're at it, add the ability to sort by primary/secondary affecting attributes to better accommodate remaps as well.

I can support this idea, it seems like just a small quality of life thing that doesn't adversely affect gameplay.

Edit: @OP - this idea probably belongs in the little things thread, you might want to post a link to this thread there.

adjust the training order.

As for usefulness, it would make it easier to order skills in order to complete the skills that take less time first. An example would be if you were a brand new starter, and you open up battleship info (for whichever faction), and set all the skills up to mastery 5 in your queue.

The sort button is then pressed and it orders all your skill training based on least time to longest time. If you were a new starter and not sure of skill, at least all your skills that gets train first will also help you quicker. Things such as frigs skills will get trained first including the mastery for weapons etc as they take shortest amount of time. This means that you don't need to set skill training in order from frig then destroyer, cruiser, bc, bs...

I am also ok with this feature.
Of course for alts, but can be also useful for a main you want to extend specialization at a low level.

The idea is to be able to add in the queue a lot of new skills from level 1 to 3 to have a reasonable starting level without having after to sort them manually.

For instance, and of course it's possible for an alt used with clones, if you want to develop all skills from 1 to 3 for frigates, destroyers... battleships for all races, be sure that it will take a very boring time to sort them so that first levels finish first and so on.
A simple button could cancel this very stupid repetitive actions. And much more if you use a lot of alts and/or a lot of accounts.

Why not just put them into the queue at the top?

It's not enough if you have already other low level skills at the top.
And if you want to keep time to build as the main parameter.

Sorting those out just for better view or place them in order where the shorter ones come first. These are two different things.
