PVP players do nothing but complain and cry for nerfs because something affects theyre isk making.

Example please

Aza is more correct here... PVP players tend to complain much more than pve, but changes do have more effect on pvp than on pve, since effects can have accumulative drawbacks since they work as a Group. A pve can easily work alone and changes dont effect them as much.

Wait. So you don't want to play against the engine because that is repetitive, given the lack of creativity that is inherent with machines.

You also do not want to play against other players because... yeah, why exactly?

Well, nevermind. Not our business.

But this basically says you do not want to play this game.

You're welcome.

I think it's more a case of the OP not being entirely happy with how the content isn't going his way anymore since he switched corps and can't rely on others as much as he did.

Sure they can take your land, but point were, would they stay?

Nope, but that at least affords """"CONTENT ALERT!!!"""" for the people moving in afterwards.

You are thinking about his statement too much. If PVP was so great, people would be running to the source of the "richest PVP experience". Its just not happening.

Add in game casinos.... people love to gamble, afterall every pvp action is a gamble.

In the meantime, we have that scam by Dumb and dumbor on Slingblade thing going on.... now.. that is some "content" that has not be seen since the Hee Haw coup by Minnie Pearl.

Yeah, it gets boring if you repeat so do something diff like... play 10k games of chess then come back.

Was in a discussion with some previous and current eve players i know. Most of them has quit, or is about to quit, mostly due to lack of content.

It made me think abit... They are in some ways correct, EVE hasnt come up with New content that has incouraged others to reactivate their accounts or keep playing. There is no New content that makes me, or those i spoke with, wanna spend more time on EVE.
And i do see that thru players i know ingame, keeps reducing their time on EVE, mainly it gives them no more "happy-juice" to keep playing.

So is it that EVE dont gives us more content, or is it me and those that over time has come to the conclusion that EVE actually has become borring?

Also, has EVE more and more been swinging into being more and more a game for mainly pvp players? A friend of mine, was a big time manufacturer and he said, he dont have the time to keep repeating the same actions over and over again, it gave him no more pleasure.

Something is for sure wrong, cuz it is not just me....

Would appreciate some pro's and con's on this.

Can we have someone more informed, make a list what this player generated content is? I think it would be helpful so other players can give due credit to it.

That's because EVE has stopped evolving to become "the biggest and best sci-fi universe that you can imagine" to "the best spaceship arena you can imagine".

Are the updates good? Yes. Are they innovative? Kind of. Are they truly expanding the game play? No, not really at all.

10 years ago, concepts like DUST and Valkyrie would have been properly integrated into EVE once they finished atmospheric flight and the EVA prototype would finally be added.

To answer the OP no it is not just you. It seems there is not much content because there are a lot of hindrance to the content of EVE Online. I will list them here:

1. Complexity
2. Distance in-game from other players
3. In game cost
4. In game skill
5. Time

Most players have the ability to understand video games, but EVE is the most complex game out there. It is one of the few games where you have to customize each slot on the ship with something. It is the only game that I know of where you have skill queue leveling. Once you figure out what you want to do, you have to ask yourself if you can really pull it off with the amount of RL skill and time. For some people the answer is no and they leave. Some people the answer is yes and they stay.

EVE's a sandbox you have to make your own content with other players. That said I'm glad when the dev's do release new stuff / patches / expansions.

Well, I finished my post for solutions to EVE's issues in a bottom-to-top examination. I still feel like I rushed it and left a lot out, but it's already large enough that it would take several posts in the Suggestion box to get through. Is there a trusted place I can link it in one big chunk so I don't clog half a page with the OP?

Lack of content? I re-subscribed after 2 years because there was so much new content.

Shake it up a little. Go harass small corps. Do some "Anti-Ganking" or whatever that means. Pretend you're an explorer and see how many null systems you can visit before you pop (my favorite past time)

Now that's content creation right there! Who needs CCP when you have an imagination!!!

Lol. Here's a list of all the non-naughty content added just in recent patch notes. Go back over the last 2 years and there has been a tonne of new content:

Carnyx

- (Exploration) New systems are available that can be accessed via the Unidentified wormholes. (Unidentified wormholes can be found in systems that contain the Jove Observatory)
- (Market) New items have been added to the Trade Goods > Unknown Components Market category.
- (Missions) A new Anomic Base burner mission has been added to the level 4 security mission pool. A new mission where players face off against fighters of the Angel Cartel.
- (NPCs) Drifter presence has reportedly been increased throughout Amarr space.
- (PvE) Burner NPC´s have had their faction standing penalty removed when killing them.
- (PvE) Burner NPC now give out a security standing gain when killed.
- (PvE) The Audesder War Effort, The Ammatar Traitor (3 of 8) has a clearer mission briefing.
- (Sci & Ind) The Jackdaw blueprint can now be invented from the Small Hull Sections found in wormhole space

Mosaic

- (Sci & Ind) Compressed Nullsec and Lowsec ores have had their volumes adjusted in accordance with their new mineral compositions.
- (UI) New map: the new map is now turned on for all players by default. (may or may not be a good thing)
- (PvE) Several tweaks have been made to the new Burner Missions including additional loot drops and increased bounties.
- (Modules) The Entosis Link can now be manufactured.
- (Misc) The basic tutorial (up to Career agents) has been completely removed and replaced with the Opportunities system.
- (Missions) Two new Level 4 Burner Missions have been added. These missions allow certain medium sized ships entry and are completely optional, with no penalty for declining
- (UI) New map features

- (UI) New map features
- (Ships) The new Victorieux Luxury Yacht has been released by the Intaki Syndicate
- (PvE) The rewards for completing the final Trouble in Paradise combat site have been increased.

Proteus

- (Exploration) A new mining anomaly called "Asteroid Belt Remnants" can now be found in starter and career agent systems. This anomaly will be most attractive to newer players in small mining ships and will ensure that those systems do not run out of ore in times of high activity.
- (Exploration) A new, hard to find exploration site can be found across all of New Eden. Be on the lookout for the lucrative but challenging Superior Sleeper Cache.
- (UI) New map added

On and on and on in each release

That's not even accounting for graphics changes, deployable structures, 101 new shattered wormholes, Thera, frigate burner missions, industry UI changes, bowhead manufacturing available, confessor manufacturing available, ship SKINS, other audio additions, the whole unidentified structures and on going story building around that, seekers, new space barbie items, Prospect, other sleeper cache sites, polarised weapons introduced and BPCs available through exploration, drone skills changed, new notification widget, new sharing of overviews mechanic, new small ship wormhole connections, exploration hacking game changes, addition of the Astero, Stratios and Nestor available as BPC through SOE LP store, rogue drone nexus chips, new clone soldier rats, ghost sites, POCOs for highsec, POS standings changes, compression array, ISIS ship id system, certificate changes, Bastion module can be manufactured, radial menu, new decryptors, etc., etc., etc.

This.

Sadly, I think after the Jita riots Hilmar took the wrong message from that situation and consequently lost his marbles for doing anything truly ambitious.

We're now stuck in "EVE is about spaceships" mentality pretty much until the end of time. World building and innovative game design as far as this franchise is concerned is dead. Dust is pretty much abandoned, EVA was scrapped, casual ambulation ideas are treated with a witch hunt outlook and Valkyrie is so entirely unambitious that it isn't even going to attempt to have a link to EVE.

EVE is a fun game... sometimes. If you're in the mood for exactly what it offers. Which is sometimes not very much at all. It's just a shame that CCP is no longer ambitious enough to solve that problem. They certainly used to be.
