Hello!

I'm high school student, i'm attending a special national school of fine arts, i've been playing cello for 10 years, though i can play many instruments. Just wanted to see if there are any fellow musicians, what are your experiences or stories, what instruments do you play and recommend?

I'm not what you would call a 'classically trained musician' but I did teach myself how to play drums, piano and guitar. I just jam out for fun because music is awesome

Guitar will always be the best to me. I guess it's because of the music I grew up listening to but I also just love playing on guitar

And I've only played at incredibly small venues, say around 20 people lol

Still I like to jam with pretty much any instrument, so I recommend trying any instrument that you can, really. If you didn't play on a ukulele try playing on one, try plying a glockenspiel if you ever get the chance. Learn how to play accordion or a ******* harp. If you have access to lots of instruments you should just mess around with all of them when you get the chance.

I had to look up what a cello was lol. But it turns out my intuitions were correct as a cello seems to be simply a bigger version of a violin.

In college, 4 years classical guitar. Really just to clear all that computer science out of my head. Secretly a minority of the students in class wanted to play the ukulele. Some days even those guitar cases are just to big. Smile

I play guitar, mostly electric. Mostly I just play through Emperor songs by myself for fun. It never gets old. I've also been messing around with old folk instruments lately. [picture] I bought the two on the left and built the one on the right myself.
