So, as im falling in love with lo-sec pvp, a buddy of mine suggested that I get some implants to better my kung-fu...and with that, I havent been able to get ahold of him since to clarify WHAT implants I should look into =P

I fly mostly Minmatar, loving the cane. What implants would YOU use and WHY?

NO!  THIS is NOT an alt!!!!

Depends on how much you want to spend really. The obvious nano-cane implants are a snake set with 5% gunnery hardwirings. But that's pricey (around 3B isk). Alternatively he could just mean gunnery hardwirings and some +4 attribute implants. If you mostly run in armor gangs, a slave set is the obvious choice. Really depends on what you're looking for.

Anyways, slave sets increase armor HP and snakes increase base speed. There are others of course too, but those are the ones most useful to hurricanes. As for gunnery implants, it should be pretty obvious. You'll want the medium projectile damage one and an all turret damage/RoF one. They are slot 8 and slot 9 respectively. There is also a falloff/tracking implant for slot 7.

Fireworks and snowballs are great, but what I really want is a corpse launcher.

Snakes - Canes, cynabals, tornados and nanostuff. Awesome for kiting, dual prop fits and making your webbed 1v1 frig easier to dictate range/GTFO. ANything where speed is good.

Crystals - Making your tengu a super tengu, or making your active ferox, a super active ferox. Very fun for solo, but since your relying on brute strength, u will be more likely to go down.

Slaves - Awesome for hellcats, ahacs, high buffer ships like 400mm frigs, 1600mm cruisers/up and for making your supercarrier "moar indestructible"

Those are the main 3, but there are also Halos (sig tanking) Virtues (Scanning) and the sensor strength ones.

Definatly put in some decent HGs, just dont get drunk and think nullsec sounds fun.

Just remember that you will lose your implants sooner or later. So if you decide to make them a regular part of your pvp setups you should buy multiple sets and plan accordingly.

You can get a full set of 5 fairly generic hardwirings for about 100 mil. They're not amazing or anything like the actual sets, but 5 little bonuses that work on most (or all) of your ships can turn out to make a big overall difference and they're cheap enough to not really care when you get podded, so long as its not a regular occurrence.
