Simply an option to have a bookmark automatically made when you drop a structure. This would be optional with a toggle. Might be nice for it to be an option for scanned signatures as well. Im sure other things too.
Just a convenience thing, nothing important.

-1.

Automation is fine for some things. For some things, it eliminates the possibility of pilot error, which is a great conflict driver and source of difficulty. Automation of things like fitting up massive numbers of doctrine ships, which are player driven but fairly common and a pain to anyone who has ever done it, are generally good. Things which have potential to drive conflict, like "Crap, gotta scan down our POS to fuel it up because I forgot to bookmark it" should remain subject to pilot error.

This.
Some other awesome hotkeys that are documented in the in-game hotkey menu and nowhere else in my experience, with their defaults:

Recall drones: Shift + R
Engage with drones: F

Lock target: Ctrl + click
Unlock target Ctrl + shift + click
Jump/Dock : D
Keep at range (default range) : E
Stop ship: Ctrl + Space
Toggle tracking
Hide windows: Ctrl + Tab

As far as i remember, Ctrl+B create a bookmark of your current position, not position of the selected object. Yes, i can right-click it, then click again the bookmark button, and then click Ok, which will create a bookmark of the thing position...

What about adding another hotkey for bookmarking position of the thing i selected? (Right-click contextual menu restrictions still applying, so no bookmarking enemy ships, that kind of things...)

French half-noob.

Non, je ne suis pas gentil.
