downloading launcher update - again

again launcher doesnt start download of updating the launcher. its grey bar of death no progress
-cleared launcher cache and notthing happens
-cleared all cache and still no success.
-removed old launcher nd reinstalled from previous install. - notthing .

any ideas?

Which launcher version do you have?

its launcher 2.2.884420 . left it run for hours but notthing changes its still downloading launcher udpate with dead progress bar.

Hmmm, can you please send a bug report including the launcher logs?

Then you can update the launcher manually with this link.

launcher even stopped to launch . the update from link fixed the issue. in fact game was unlaunchable . bad sisi very bad sisi

I had the same problem. First I tried the repair tool and got an error about SSL certs. (I forgot to save the log it told me to look at in local appdata). Then I rolled back to a launcher from March and went through the process of updating. After numerous updates the launcher errored out again on the last update and gave me this log:

It's also an SSL cert error. After clicking OK on the error popup (after opening the log and copying it to my clipboard) the the launcher restarted itself and downloaded an update. I did however backup the launcher that failed me. The version was "2.2.883045". Here is the log from the launcher directory for today http://pastebin.com/n8SNsS9N

I am having the same problem also. My launcher is stuck with never getting progress when updating. It always has the grey progress bar. A few weeks ago I followed the instructions to roll back the launcher to v.2.2.884420 and it actually worked for a time. As of now even with this version it has stopped updating again just like before.

same problem. i've not downloaded fresh from that link but can confirm that is the client version that i am running.

edit: after launching and closing several times, it does update. but, if you cancel and do not actually login in, you will still need to launch and close several times to get the update acknowledged as current and have the client start. seems to be a connection problem.

I'm having the same issue as well (incidentally, it's been like this for several weeks now), except it's with the Mac version (grey downloading bar of death). I've tried quitting and relaunching the launch through the command line, but to no avail. v2.2.883045.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Yeah, this is the same problem as in this thread. On the Mac it is probably best to make a new copy of your TQ client.
