Maybe this just changed maybe it didn't, the fact of the matter is you do need to pay VAT and CCP had not been previously charging you VAT, someone either demanded it from them, or the lawyers noticed this oversight and made a change to policy to protect the company.

ccp claims that there is new laws going into effect now, what u are refering to is a low that was put into effect 4 years ago

That's not what it says in the message you posted in the OP, and if the law is 4 years old, it is hardly surprising that they have to pay VAT, now is it? Again, the bigger mystery is how and why you were allowed to be billed in USD for so long.

The thing that doesn't measure subscriptions? Checking that wouldn't particularly help (or hinder) him.

It does not count subscriptions, but 33% drop at online averages in 6 months, just as an example, give some hint about those too.

Remember, it were actually much higher than 35K 6 months ago, as dropping numbers from recent months have dragged also last 6 months number down.

Not if there has been changes in those 6 months that would change how many accounts the average player has running at a given time. Things like outlawing broadcasting software that simplifies the use of large alt fleets, reducing the viability of alt-required mechanics, and going on a couple of banning sprees.

it gives a hint that fewer accounts are online. It doesn't really give any hint as to the reasons why.

Anyway, think it still hints CCP gets less money from subscriptions. Think that´s the point behind all of this, that we dont say out loud.

Im referring to the RATE as in the money we are paying CCP... how long has it been $15 a month? What?

yeah, from the beginning. so unless CCP's maintenance and operation cost didn't change for the past 10 yrs, subscription rate should have increased together with other products/commodities.

so QQing about a SMALL increase is seems silly to me....

Ah ok.

And well, I guess CCP uses that 15 dollar/euro amount as a basic value that they then base other currencies on (obviously according to their purchasing power).

EDIT: so, yeah, Norwegians now pay bills of Russians Lol

I think you need to read it again, it does not say that there are new laws, it says they need to start charging for VAT, those are two different things.

Which kind of support the "they were not charging before but now actually will" theory...

This has nothing to do with grammar, it's more of a reading comprehension issue, and it is only you not all Norwegians, nor does it have anything to do with the fact you are Norwegian, nice try though.

So because they get loss money, they decided to charge more but to only 1 country? Sucks to live in Norway I guess... Who's taking bet on the next country?

Yeah we make the thread about Norwegian grammar when the pasted text was more than likely written down by someone from Iceland.

Makes sense...

No. I'm just plain old right.
You have repeatedly failed to read the announcement, and roughly everyone else have understood completely what it says by now.

Thus: learn to read.

Quote:

That's good advice, and you really should heed it. After all, you're the only one whose reading comprehension is subpar and who's suggested that Norwegians should be bashed for their grammar (which makes no sense whatsoever as others have already pointed out).
