CCP increase subs for Norwegians by almost 50%

owe me? not saying that ccp owe me anything. i am saying that as an professional company they shouldnt lie to their customers. if they increase if for some other reason then tell the real reason

It were a nice gesture from Frontier Developments to include backers home cities into Earth of ED.

I wonder when CCP will get to the point when they try to make some similar effort to please their customers.

An increase from 15 euros to 20 euros is NOT a 50% increase, not at all. It's a 33% increase. Calling a 33% increase a 50% increase is worse than calling 20 euros equal to 15 euros (50/30= 1,66; so a 66% increase, while 20/15=1,33 is a 33% increase). Since even with a 66% difference things still equal to you we can deduct that you shouldn't be able to tell a difference when it's only a 33% increase.

So with your math skills I guess you don't have any problem since your subscription didn't change then. You should only notice a difference when it's an increase by at least 66%. So please stop the whining until a subscription costs you 25 euros

This topic should have a notice at beginning that EvE has cost already for years for both US (dollar) and EU (euro) player both 15 units of their currency, no matter even bigger fluxuations between them.
Guess they were monitoring purchase power of the currency.

I dont believe EvE has ever cost for a Russian 15 dollars or euro´s, but "15 of their units".

It is just how things work, Norwegian can have with that 20 euro about the same as a Finn with 10 euro.

And people from Finland pay 15 euro month, so in a way, actually more than Norwegians who pay 20 euro.

Get it?

Purchasing power.

Too bad for (very) poor of Norway, though.

To day we pay 14.95 DOLLAR (= 123NOK) and they want to charge us 19.90 EUROS ( = 184NOK)


An increase from 123NOK to 184NOK = 61NOK witch is 49.xx %

technically CCP gets MORE of RUssian RUBles. But they get less converted to dollars.
back in March of 2014 i have paid 3499 RUB for 12 month which was about 97 dollars (36 RUB for 1 dollar).
Now they ask me to pay 4899 RUB. This is 87 dollars (about 56 RUB for one dollar)

So yes, it's possible that they are trying to rebalance income

I'm in process of deciding if i will continue to play or quit. Till now i don't regret about my money given to CCP. Will see if i change my opinion about matter.

No, because no monetary transactions take place. PLEX are, legally, ingame items once bought and do not represent a real world value. CCP nor you owe taxes for using ingame items :)

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

This is from a time when EVE was so horribly unbalanced. CCP were releasing stuff thinking "whatever", silly game mechanics included.

I'd rather starve than join the failure of a bureaucracy that the EU is. CCP is just charging us more without giving us any answers, proof, etc. Just because we're richer than most people doesn't mean we should pay more, freakin' commies.
