CCP increase subs for Norwegians by almost 50%

CCP changes all norwegian subscriptions from 14.95$ to 19.90Euro or in Norwegian Currency 123 NOK to 184 NOK.

Looks like CCP are doing their best to reduce their player base.

I also want proof of their claims.

according to Norwegian law you can buy products from forign countries for upto 200NOK (or more) without having to pay any aditional tax

So if you going to claim local taxation then please provide us with the proof..........




Billing changes for Norwegian players

Hello,

We would like to announce billing changes that will affect our Norwegian players as of July 1st.

We will need to remit VAT to the Norwegian government as of July 1st. As such, we will need to change the billing currency of all Norwegian users to EUR.

This change will come into effect at the start of July, and from this point onward all Norwegian users will be billed in EUR.

this is redicolous.

The Norwegian foreign trade law didnt change overnight to july 1 2015 ! CCP had to deal with this for years already.

I want to know the VAT tax registration number CCP is going to pay the VAT to !

Maybe they incurred the cost while making sure they could not get around it since it was really changed and now they are adjusting the price after finding out they can't get around it.

What about those who plex their accounts ? Will CCP have to report that to Norwegian authorities as an "income" for that specific person ?

plexing 10 miners: 184 NOK per miner X 10 = 1840 NOK per month X 12 months = 22080 NOK !

That is a serious income and have to be reported. If you ask me, this is way more serious than the VAT claim!

It would be taxed in the currency where the plex was originally purchased with RL money.

Unless you are suggesting that Norwegians pay VAT on their in-game purchases as well?

Well, let's say I buy a bag of crisps, and you buy a box of biscuits. We then trade a crisp for a biscuit. Are we required to pay VAT on that transaction?

More importantly, if my crisps cost more than your biscuits on a per crisp/bisquit basis, are you required to report the difference as income? I mean you now have more value than you did before.

Must suck to be norwegian to be taxed on in-game gains. Here in Canada, I can earn as much as I want and never get taxed. And to think many people here think your country should serve as a model.

Or maybe you are just stupid and don't understand how things work...
