Gallente Academic in Row over Caldari remarks !

Astonishing news reaches Gutter Press of a sensational row involving a Gallente academic and their remarks about the Caldari.

Dr. Yvormes, author of best-sellers including "The Caldari Question" and "Civilising the Civire", was arrested as he was lecturing a group of university students in the city of Hueromont on Gallente Prime!

According to eyewitness reports, Dr. Yvormes had just started speaking on the Caldari problem, when Federal Police agents arrived and after a scuffle, arrested and took him away!

Sen-sational!

"It was astonishing" said one student. "Dr. Yvormes was telling us about the Caldari genetic criminality, when the fuzz just turned up and started beating people, telling us to disperse."

"Yah, it was like, He'd said how Salvador Sarpati, Sansha Kuvakei, Omir Sarikusa, the Gurista dudes, and the Angel cartel, are all Caldari or had Caldari leaders in them, and they're all like, criminal organisations as a result." said another student.

"well, like, I think it was right to arrest him, because he like, said that because of genetic criminality, the Caldari should all be like, imprisoned, and a guy stood up and said that that was slavery and he should be ashamed, then the police arrived" said a third student.

"The police shouldn't you know, be arresting people. What about free speech?" said a fourth student.

Incredible!

Opinions are also divided amongst Hueromont citizens!

A local politician had this to say: "Hueromont isn't the place for this kind of shenanigan"

An air taxi driver said: "Caldari this, caldari that, I'm sick of it, I tell you what. They should all just shove off in my opinion. The Federals too. Hueromont's had enough of being a political football. "

Amazing!

Gutter Press will continue to investigate the news the Scope doesn't cover.

Omir Sarikusa is no criminal, he is a great man.
The words of this "Dr." Yvormes are nothing but slanderous lies and i hope to see him shown the error of his ways.

Interesting, how did you come to such conclusion?

The Scope not covering the great stories that Gutter Press does shows the degeneration in quality of the Gallente in general.

This story surely must be fake. A group of Gallente University students actually were attending a lecture? We all know that doesn't happen.

Some of us took our time at UoC seriously y'know...

I'm more surprised the police took someone away for anti Caldari remarks, I'd expect them to promote this sort of crap.

My PA went to UoC. She told me that the only lecture people actually went to was the first one, to exchange datapad logins, find out what books you had to buy and check out who else in the course was potential date or drinking buddy material. After that everyone just corresponds by datapad and only meet socially. If the story had read that a bunch of Gallente University students had been beaten up by police after an anti-Caldari rant escalated into a drunken brawl while out on the town pissed as a newt, that would have been a lot more credible. Whoever's fabricating stories for Gutter Press these days needs a cultural research assistant.

Don't tell me she studied one of those joke courses like Social Studies.

Depends what you studied personally, I was too busy with the training ships and flight sims to goof off, knew some guys who were studying physics who's idea of fun was their work. Different strokes for different folks, not everyone at UoC was a drunken timewaster.

If the news story had been anti war protests by groups of students at a rally being attacked by agents from the FIO, then it'd sound more believable.

A source informs us the official reason was "Unpaid parking tickets".
A different source informs us the chief of police has a wife whose great grandmother was from Caldari Prime.

Most local politicians today are saying that Dr. Yvormes remarks are "An Insult to the loyal ethnic Caldari that have made the Federation their home, and contributed to the inclusive prosperity that the Federation is renowned for."

A dissenting group have said Dr. Yvormes was entirely right, and that it is not slavery to subject an entire people to imprisonment and forced labour for life, because they are criminals, due to having the Caldari Criminal Chromosome.

Meanwhile, an arts critic has suggested the police didn't go far enough, because "The books are a literary crime."

Opinions are divided, but Diversity is Strength in the Federation.

Hey, somebody gets a kick out of it somewhere.

Tradition defines and shapes a person, but should be evaluated frequently; far too often does Tradition no longer help, but hobble a person and stunt their growth. Especially a Capsuleer.

Good on the police to arrest this lunatic. If the Federation went along with what this quack had to say, we would be no better than the slavers of the Amarrian Empire.

Oh, you mean like ramming Nyx class Supercarriers into caldari stations in assassination attempts and then waging a full scale war against the State?
Hell, thank God they would never do such things.
