Currently the rest of the stations have not been released yet, the Incarna patch is still a work in progress the Minmatar Captains Quarters (CQ) is the first of the CQ's to be released a near future update will release the CQ for the other 3 races then sometime in the future we'll be able to explore the entire station via that door, until now it is locked and unable to be opened.

Yes, the door is currently locked for now but we expect that will change in the future when Capsuleers are able to explore station environments fully. Currently i am unable to tell you when that will be but Incarna will be more than just your captain's Quarters.

Well it will be this winter.... right? Fallout specifically said later this year, and that plan hasn't changed as far as I know.

This is the forum for players on their trial to ask questions, after all. I would expect trolling in this forum to be countered with a polite suggestion from CCP to sit back and relax for three days.

In the meantime, station environments are full of nasty bugs which capsuleers really don't want to be exposed to. So the door remains shut.

I am still trying to figure out how this will work exactly.
We all know that every player has the same room in stations.Even if we don't see the players next to us in our rooms.
So if for example 2 players meet inside the station, and they eventually want to go back to their rooms, will they follow the same direction ?
So when they are right outside their room, and click open door to get in,each player will magically be transported to their room ?
Well that makes more sense anyway.
Any ideas on that ?

PS:
Well i have some ideas on how the system could be done better (It is going to need some years though.A lot of them) but since it is going to require ISK or...AUROM from players,i already know how you'll react so...i'll just not tell you about it.

when you want to go from the public area to your CQ, all players will probably enter the same lift/elevator that transports them to their individual CQ.

Elevator, transport pod.
Plenty of ways to think about it.

Let's assume CCP will apply real world scenarios to the game like always.

I've talked to someone ingame who reported, that a suitable way of opening the door was to align in a very specific way outside the station and fire in a specific angle. The projectile/beam must strike through an opening or through a transparent surface. Use the camera to your advantage to find the perfect angle, you might have to try it multiple times.

Also, the bigger the weapon, the more likely it is to penetrate the door, so it might be necessary to use a bigger ship, that can fit a higher caliber.

In short, yes they will walk in the same direction.

It's a programming term called instancing. In CQ you will walk through the door and then the server will load up the live station environment where you can interact with other players... From the station to your CQ you will walk through a door called something like 'Captians Quaters'. Everyone will walk though the same door.

When you walk through the door a loading screen will come up while the server figures out which room is yours and then loads it, so no need to look for your own door just use the generic one :)

A good upgrade to this would be to right click on someones name and then 'enter captians quaters'; an invite will be sent to the person asking if you would like them to view your CQ with you. Like private chat.
