AT XIII Petition

Figured I would bring this to General Discussion as not many people go to the AT thread.

If you haven't heard already, CCP WILL NOT be broadcasting the first weekend of the AT this year.
The format has also been shortened to 3 weeks.

This essentially means that all of the preliminary battles will not be broadcast.
These are typically the most entertaining fights as fleets will bring out the craziest fleet builds to test, as they'll still have a fall back if they lose.

CCP has expressed that the fights can be viewed through "Crest" data, which is bleh at best...

That said, I'm coming here to start a petition to have CCP broadcast the battles (at least for youtube if not live streamed).
Or, vet some players to broadcast the fights...

I mean, this is like not recording the playoffs in any other sport....

This is literally the most anticipated competition, show, stream, or whatever out of everything for me; especially since there was no New Eden Open this year!!!



So, sign if you think CCP should broadcast the first weekend (without studio obviously) and/or at least vet players and give them the tools to run the broadcast.

I think I'd rather have a petition requesting CCP to make the AT more than an event run through the voluntary efforts of staff on top of their other work.

It's supposed to be one of the premier showcase events and it's not part of the official work program of the company.

Id also like the first week to be streamed, but I'm not so sure I'd like volunteers within CCP to have to devote even more of their spare time just to appease that desire.

How many of us do anything similar to the level of extra work some of the CCP staff put in for us?

honestly i understand ccp's reasons for not doing the first weekend. but they could show the matches anyway.

I'm looking for them to be on youtube at the very least.

As far as the broadcasters.

They are already vetting out players who want to broadcast.


Just ask them if they're willing to broadcast the first week from home.
Or vet more people for this....


I don't care if it's streamed, I'd just like to at least watch them on youtube.

I would be happy with some fraps and commentary of what is going on released over the week following.
Don't need the live broadcast just want to see them before the second weekend.
