/body
Greetings Uriam Kador, and Catiz Tash-Murkon, greetings to my family members, and greetings to the major holders and partners of these Great Amarr Houses.

As you well know, my Mother Rainier Singularity (Kador Family) and my Father Philipp Singularity (Tash-Murkon), rest his soul, founded our Minor Amarr House Singularity with the goal of one day becoming a Great Amarr House and take our rightful place among the stars of our Great Golden Empire. Recently I have been named by the people as the Harbinger of Faith, and Pope of New Eden, I have tried my best to represent the honor and grandeur of our three Houses, and to live up to my expectations as I wear these unique garments bequeathed upon me. My task is challenging but this I must forebear to bring forth this message from the people.

During these recent difficult times we have seen challenges to the whole of New Eden. Never ending war between the Minmatar and Amarr, the Gallente and Caldari, Sansha Invasions continuing, multiple pirate factions raiding, and now the threat of the Drifters apparent. The mysterious calamity that has befallen the Jovian Directorate and the collapse of their entire star gate network is also of immediate concern.

There is no doubt, that the residents of New Eden sense the loss of stability, the sense of doom, and are having difficulty finding hope. This environment is effecting our House Singularity affairs of business, and the quality of our spiritual life. Rumors run rampant as our family turns to our Empress for comfort, for leadership, and for action. Yet, in vein we train our channels to the Emperor Family subspace channel and hear only cold silence during these trying times sans but the recent declaration on The Scope.

Announcements of new shield technology for new types of structures as ‘a gift' by the Empress was made to the general populace of New Eden, not to the Great Amarr House Ardishapur Family, nor the Great Amarr House Kor-Azor Family, nor even from my contacts in the Great Amarr House Sarum Family knew of this pending release of technology. Although my Minor Amarr House Singularity would not expect to be in direct contact with Emperor Family, my relatives in the Great Amarr House Kador Family, nor the Great House Tash-Murkon Family have notified me that they have had no notice whatsoever.

My retired friends and serving shipmates in the Amarr Navy (and former 7th Fleet) also had no notice, and even those with high clearances (to which I’m still active) also had no notice of this weapons export.

While many may believe that a shield technology is not a weapon, those unlearned in siege warfare believe that powerful shield will save lives. Those of the military academies and learned of military history know all to well that a fortress, a moat, and high walls only delay defeat, and with even greater loss of life for the attackers and defenders. This day marks a day of turmoil to come.

It is by request of several factions within my family members of House Singularity, most of my relatives in House Kador, and even more in House Tash-Murkon, that we call for comment and discussion in a rational, non-violent means, in a manner that abides in legal way of Amarrian Law to address the suspected and apparent irrational behavior we have seen from Jamyl Sarum I, Empress of the Amarr Empire, Harbinger of Hope, Sword of the Righteous.

I have no place to directly ask Ardishapur Family, Kor-Azor Family, and Sarum Family to participate in these discussions, as a Minor Amarr House, but this conversation would need to include these Great Houses to participate as this is a serious matter for our Golden Empire.

I do humbly request Urium Kador and Catiz Tash-Murkon for guidance in this regard, or a statement of support of such a conversation, or to the opposite, even a statement against this discourse, as any statement will better guide our populace in the engulfing silence.

The state of the Empire, if not the state of New Eden, rests upon your great shoulders.

With due respect and humility, I Thank You both for your consideration.

It was the scope who first made the claim of the Empress' actions irrational.

It is hard for me to conjure evil intentions, as she saved us in our most pressing hour at Mekhios when we were leaderless. And this shielding technology seems to be more of a blessing which CONCORD has withheld. She acts as a benefactor and advocate of her people, and I applaud her decision to stand against CONCORD.

The drifter threat looms in our space, and yet CONCORD does nothing. We have the right to protect ourselves, and her move to divulge this technology is dare, I say... a blessing.

CONCORD used to be an organization founded by the four Empires, with representatives from each. But over the years, CONCORD has grown increasingly independent, secretive, and enforcing their own directives, perhaps even without the consent of the empires (reference in this data uplink: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHH_MHd0c94).

I see the Empress defying CONCORD, because the care of her people is a responsibility given by God which overrides all others.

That being said, I can agree with you on one thing, and that is, to see what the other royal families have to say about recent developments. Do they support the Empress, or question her as well?

You wish to have a legal inquire for the throne. This must be advocated by a royal house, or the speakers of truth. If a Royal heir has an accusation, let it out, if the Speakers of Truth need investigate something, we will observe.

Moreover, would our beloved Empress address us further? I certainly hope so. She likely, has the answers, many of us wish to understand.

To be honest I'm waiting to see what the Drifters actually do before defining them as a 'threat' to all of New Eden. If they only threaten Amarr space aggressively I would need to know the reason why before intervening for either side. It may well be tied to the irrational behaviour Max mentions in some way and I certainly don't jump to conclusions. Hell, for all we know Amarr ships may have encroached upon and engaged Drifter forces in their home first and this is retaliation. We have no idea how the Empress acquired certain tech advances.

Having said that, whilst I may despise some of the Amarr practices and certainly don't believe in their sky fairy I won't stand by and watch innocent civilians killed.

Her interference in the affairs of outer region empires has raised some understandable concerns. Few understand the impact of her little gift.

For now, the structure of outer region conflicts was set, well known and innovations in this field appeared only in the fields of strategy and tactics. This adjustment will flip the board completely upside-down. With the global distribution of this technology, think-tanks are already in a race to find a bypass before the enemy does - if only not to be caught off-guard.

Should such a bypass be easy to utilize, the outcome will be a complete opposite of peace in the outer regions. Only a fool would take this gift as benevolent - not even Jamyl Sarum is daft enough to assume it would stop old grudges and thirst for resources.

Whatever she's doing, the aim may be completely opposite of the words she's spoken - not to bring peace to the zero security areas, but to push it once more into chaos.

I fail to see why Houses Kador and Tash-Murkon would bother listening to a capsuleer, especially one that is a heretic.

Rodj, you're better than this.

He'd only be a heretic if Sarum was your god.

as for not listening to a capsuleer... isn't your empress one?

No, if the Empress was our God then he would be a blasphemer. But she is not a god, merely the legally anointed Empress of Amarr. It could of course be argued that he is a blasphemer anyway since the Empress is the chosen of God, but that's more of a question for the theologians rather than myself. As far as I'm concerned it would be an ecumenical matter.

Now, a heretic is someone who goes against the teachings of the Theology Council. And as it happens, the Theology Council approved the accession to the throne of Her Majesty, thus making questioning her status a religious matter and Singularity a heretic.

Likewise, the Privy Council also approved it which means that questioning her status is also a legal matter. As such, he is also a traitor.

While your statement is true good sir, it should be noted that The Scope made the first 'public' claim and declaration of the Empress' actions irrational, but it is by far not the first claim made.

This matter was brought up for debate at the Symposium of Emergent Threats and the matter was discussed at length by several Capsuleer representatives from all parts of New Eden. In fact, it was the number two issue only behind that of the current Drifter Threat that was discussed. The fervor and passion of evidence presented by the attendees requires further investigation, to which I support a peaceful and just discussion.

One must not take sides yet, as there is no jury. However, one should facilitate truth as we are free Amarrian people, that are of free mind (at least I hope this is still the case).

You good sir are known for your even temper and rational. I would encourage you to host your own seminar of discussions regarding the general state of the Amarr Empire. I would be interested in the results of the findings of that council as well.

Well... To be honest, Tash-Murkon might. Maybe not publicly.

My guess?

Because the promises of the Empress are hollow and filled with nothing but lies. Her revolutionary microservice shielding that was supposed to bring peace to the Outer Regions was proven vulnerable to Entosis in a matter of hours.

With the perspective of this technology being widely adapted across pretty much all of zero-security space, most combat-capable groups out there are ecstatic. Not at the prospect of facing the Drifter threat, side-by-side with the golden fleet though - at the prospect of settling a few unfinished things with their enemies.

My best guess is, that little gift has secured our non-interference in most Drifter attacks on high security space. Quite the opposite of the intent advertised during her speech.

Now, this could mean two things: either she knew exactly what was going to happen, and thus is a bit of a traitor to her empire - or she's simply thick as a brick and wasn't able to see this coming.

Neither traitor, nor someone thick as a brick make for a good ruler.

That's why Maximilian Singularity is better.
