I have no doubt whatsoever that prices will start trending upwards. Many of these are trading at 1/10th or below the AUR conversion rates for no other reason than the fear of inexperienced traders. I assure you there is a medium between current prices and the exorbitant prices that CCP is currently charging. In the meantime I am more than happy to continue taking the *right ships off your hands. Pirate

How 'bout them Sarum Magnates? Blink

Well considering I bought 2000 at an average price of around 500k and have sold 75% of them at around 2-3mil I'd say I'm personally doing great with them. Blink

The bug certainly introduced new demand for skins as well. Personally, I have consumed 5 skins I wouldn't have otherwise, just to check out the possibilities. Downtime is over and this still works, so it seems that this will last at least another day if not two.

It also looks like investing in the buddy invite Catalysts was indeed a good idea , thanks for the heads up. ;)

All of the special edition catalysts as well as the nefantar thrasher were/are excellent investments.

We sure crashed the prices of everything in the original batch. Smile

I've been training Market Making V and inadvertently leveled up Bubble Inflation to IV.

Over 200 Police Pursuit Comet SKINs sold - http://imgur.com/a/l0AXC#1

Someone calculate the average price pls.

Let this be a lesson:
Trading in items that each character will never need more than 1 of changes trading rules drastically. This will be a long haul for those vested and if you triple your money from this point in the next 2 years well...you probably could have done better working other areas of the market.

The Rattlesnake Victory edition on the otherhand is going to take off. There are maybe 600 of these?
Being that the Rattlesnake is an "end user" vessel that skilled players fly many will be willing to trade their mothers left kidney to have one of these and they will actually be able to FLY THEM once they become a skin. Bear

The consumption rate is fine, and is much higher than clothing from the NES store which harbour the issue of second hand resales.

The problem right now is overall pilot activity - it is down to 2008 levels. Smile

Care to show us basis on wich you do your conlusions? i.e. nfo on cunsumpiton of skins
As I see, that NES priced iskins market is mote or less dead.

Pre-change skins actually show some volume, but you cannot account what part of the volume is acrual consumtion and what part is stockpiling/flipping.

Only CCP know about direct NES purchases, but threre no is publicly available info on that.

Very true, and this is why we're all sort of in the dark until/unless CCP decides to share this information. There's a lot of uncertainty. Will CCP reduce AUR prices? Will they revamp the system entirely? Only they know and - for now - they're not telling.

I put a lot of money into limited-edition skins, but not so much that I can't sit on them for the long term. Right now, smart buyers are on the fence. Why buy something for 800 million today if it'll sell for 700 million in a week? At some point, though, prices will stabilize and more people will start buying them for their own use. Once prices bottom out, I expect that more and more people will start to buy them for personal use instead of buying them as an investment. Since every skin that is activated reduces the overall supply, this will be the first step toward prices rising again. Once prices do start to rise, I very much doubt that they'll stop.

My wallet transactions. Smile

Some of it, of course, is speculative, but majority from this point onward is people purchasing SKINs for personal use. Mind you, I said the rate is fine, higher than apparel.

Even Comet Police SKINs are selling at 39 mil p/u.

The fact that the ones from the old batch stay at 30-90 mil for Cruisers, 12-60 mil for Frigs, 50-150 mil for Battleships, all of which are at fraction of the AUR cost, shows that CCP's NES store pricing model is flawed.

Discounts will undoubtedly come in the future, as 4300 AUR, or 940 mil for a Tech 1 frigate SKIN is absurd.

Is there an established tradition of discounting things in the NES shop?
It's not like the skins will deteriorate in CCP storage :)

The new Marauder SKINs are here - the bundle deal for all 4 unique ships costs 6990 AURUM, or 1,747.5 AURUM each, making the nominal value to be 449.35 mil with PLEX conversion rate, or 390.74 mil ISK with direct Aur purchases.

Meanwhile, some Tech 1 Frigate SKINs are still 4,300 AURUM. (✿◠‿◠)

Yup, below half a bil/10$ is sane somewhat, that price tag will find its customer.

I wonder how many 4300 AUR frigates are there? Can we find at least a dozen in whole New Eden? Big smile

I sold 150 Kador Punishers at 50 mil p/u - does that count. Cool Punishers are not 4,300 AUR. X Sold some Incursuses Aliastra Edition before the patch hit for around 180 mil p/u - RIP.

You know, sentries are still OP & broken, and panic selling is the best kind of selling - http://i.imgur.com/ws9mej7.png

I have to say, as I read the Aegis patchnotes, the amount of meaning-full changes and additions is second to NONE in the MMO world. Smile
