Very simple, CPU requirement set at 80 units is groundlessly high.

Rocks are dumb, but they're not that dumb.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

A detailed and well defined arguement... it's just missing one or two things...

Why is 80TF too high?
The ship we expect to use these modules is balanced on the basis of 80TF, it has loads of CPU available and will happily fit 2 x Miner II and a Mining Laser Upgrade II with prop mod, shield tank and so forth.
What use-case have you based the assertion on?

Venture, since there are no anymore mining frigs and cruisers left.

The venture is a mining FRIGATE meant for speed, stealth and ninja mining. It has trouble fitting MINING BARGE moduel because it isn't one.

Will your next downgrade request be to allow fitting strip miners on the venture? Then of course you'll have to upgrade the ore hold to something that totally defies the laws of physics.

Your confusion is trying to fit a mining barge module onto a mining frigate. You can't have it all.

1. He is talking about Miner II with 80TF fitting requirement, so everything is correct.

BUT:

2. Dear Threadopener: Why is 80TF too high? You can fit 2 of them without any problem on the Venture? I don't get it? Even with MLU2 in the lowslot there is enough free CPU left, properly skilled.

On my gravestone will be written: "Died because he used sarcasm in the wrong moment"

This, it still fits. Whats the problem?

You Sir must be missing a support skill (or 2)

I'm not seeing a problem - is there a specific use-case where the 80TF is too high? Are you perhaps trying to fit an expanded probe launcher into the third highslot?

He could be trying to fit the deep core 2 mining lasers.

BOB is my Co-Pilot.

Nope that's not it as I just checked and it only uses 80 also.
