Carnyx release - Mac feedback & issues

Carnyx has been successfully deployed on June 2 during an extended downtime.


Carnyx brings many new features to EVE Online, including fully revamped icons in space and in the overview, the first set of sovereignty changes, fantastic new graphic shaders, module rebalances, the Caldari Tech-3 destroyer "Jackdaw" and more.

For general discussion and to report issues with the Carnyx release on the Mac, please use this thread.

Same for me unable to launch game from client on Mac book Air OS X 10.10.2
Also unable to launch game from client on Mac Book Pro OS X 10.8.5

Tried running /Applications/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/EVE Online.app/Contents/MacOS/cider directly, also no go.

It finally launch on the Mac Book Pro after very long time.

Same issue here, but i´m not lucky enough that my clone clients starts up. Talking about two clones.
instead when i try to start from client any of my accounts the screen keeps being black.....


how long you guys waited?

Less than 30 MB of patch data downloaded, which was a pleasant surprise, and no problems applying the patch. That was a smooth Mac client update from where I am standing (well, sitting). Now for the Windoze machine... Straight

Ditto. This was the most seamless update I can remember applying, kudos!

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Hi all,

no Problems at all one 3 Mac installs on 10.9.5.

My only Problem is that sometimes the stored Login Infos got lost and i have to reenter them.

What is the current recomendation for dualboxing on one mac, alt tab and relogin with the second char or clonemaker ?

Clonemaker it is. The launcher's switch user feature does not work on the Mac, or to be more precise, works only until you terminate one of the clients at which point all remaining clients will lock up. Long standing -- and extremely annoying -- issue. Cry

I agree. I have this bug also.

I tryed clonemaker now and it is working (i can quit a client without chrash the other one) but i dont find a current link how to copy the client + Overview Settings, etc

Anyone with a current link for settings "copy" ??

The overview is the biggest issue. its at

/Library/Application support/Eve Online/p_drive/User/My Documents/EVE/Overview

Also, you can save any overview with a memorable name, then search the Library folder for that name.

I am in the same boat. Macbook running 10.10.3. Have pulled 3 patches so far and restarted for the last 2 hours over and over and over again.

Hi,

clicking a Web link in an Ingame Message freeze the client.

Have to kill everything with "eve Online" in the osx process manager and have to kill "wineserver" also to get it restarted.

Black screen for me right before the character selection. After a few attempts the client eventually loaded but the game is very unresponsive: 4-5 seconds to get a warp command, change directions, activate modules and so on.

Anyway, it consistently takes a few minutes of black screen to go from "processing bulk data" to actually load the game.

Also some weird behaviours: the cloak icon won't cycle green when the module is activated; if I press it again the ship will actually cloak, but the icon will flash red and the timer would start (as when you decloak).

As a workaround, try not using medium quality shaders. It still needs to be fixed, though.
