In Game Fitting Tool

I would be shocked if this hasn't been asked before but I couldn't find anything with a few searches.

It just seems obvious that at least some basic version of a fitting tool should be included in the game. I am very glad for the work 3rd party individuals put into tools such as EFT. However, with the rapid rate of changes to modules and ships it seems like now more than ever CCP should include some sort of fitting tool. Trying to work out a fit without a fitting tool is a mess. I would consider using the test server as a fitting tool but then there are often changes implemented there that are not live on Tranquility.

I would just like to be able to start developing new fits, and adjusting old ones to the new changes as soon as a new patch goes live. The difficulty of developing a solid fit with the current in-game tools seems unnecessary.

Edit:
As a matter of curiosity, what tools do CCP devs use to build and test new ships, modules, or changes? Do they for example build some trial fits for a Jackdaw before they release it?

No

Those players that spend their time developing these tools are prohibited by CCP from even asking for donations to support their work. I believe they can accept in game gifts of plex or ships etc but no cash. For CCP to tundermine their efforts by making their work irrelevant with an in-game option would be ******** well I will not say that here it would likely get me banned.

Support the players that develop these tools for us by using them instead of asking for CCP to make their own.

There would be no reason for an API if CCP redo every tool created for the game inside the game.... it would then lead to higher maintenance cost for those by CCP, instead of by the community which are willing to support those tools.

Just ask for a client API if you want a tool that works wrapped around the client, but CCP are currently against that.

Edit: CCP most likely have debuggers they use for testing, most likely in the form of command line driven programs which are just cheats to get the game to create gameplay for the purpose of testing it. If you ever been on Sisi, you'll know dev's can just spawn anomaly's and put you in it.
