New Game for C&P

Ok, here is a new C&P game. I want to have a competition.

With all the drama surrounding Renegade Armada, I would like to hire them for a war dec to see how good they are.

So, I was thinking that we could do a turtle race.

We would need someone to race against renegade armada (with about the same number of people).

I would hire both corps to fight the same lucky target and determine winner based on killmails. I hope to see some bets.

Thoughts? Is anyone interested in competing in this?

I need to select another small merc corp and a lucky/large Indy corp.

Maybe hire them to dec a large lowsec or null alliance. Because lowsec and null entities give two shytes about highsec decs.

When I was in a certain merc group, We decced Nulli and they were always around near Amarr, they might provide some fun, they dropped on my Vindicator with 2 Hypes, Abso, Legion, Rook, and a couple other things. For some reason half of them didn't shoot at me or I would've lost the Vindi. Shouldn've lost the Vindi, no clue how I survived that transgression.

I mean don't get me wrong, you'll certainly get kills. But its usually from bads or idiots who don't know they are decced. What it won't do is provide any good fights, because nobody is going to fly the CTA fleet 40 jumps to fight someone who is going to dock up...

This is a turtle race Leto.

I'm not trying to find out if turtles are fast. I want to find out which turtle is faster.

The core issues here are our entertainment and further examination of an ongoing discussion.

Now, I need recommendations for another turtle and more target recommendations. I'll take a look at Nulli tonight and see what I think. I have been trying to think of someone who would really savor the war decs.

CODE would be happy to be the recipient of these wardecs. We have a number of positive sec status members who are there to fight.

No, your rights end in optimal+2*falloff

I'm actually looking for someone who's going to give the turtles mobility.

I want the competition to require coming off the hubs to hunt. I've considered the large null alliances, but it's just too easy to get them on the hubs. That also means the target shouldn't be too aggressive so they have to move to hunt... Which means no mercs or codies as targets.

I'm considering a regional entity, probably mission runners (because it takes slightly more skill to hunt them than indie/miners).

I'm thinking I'll score it with points off battleclinic. That will reward small ships and teams.

Thoughts?

There aren't really any large mission running corporations. Kills in highsec wardecs come from bads and casuals who don't understand what's happening. Everyone else just stays docked and plays on an alt, or leaves highsec.

Small to mid-sized highsec corps will undock if they think they have a chance (see CODE's recent losses in Erenta for details) but you won't get good fights sending hub huggers or neutral scout supported gankers in t3's after them. Bring 1,2, or 3 guys in well fit combat ships and you can get a good fight against a highsec corp. They'll want superior numbers to undock but you should have better fits and far superior knowledge of PvP tactics. You can also bring neutral support depending on how bad the numbers disparity is.

If you want a good fight, the opposition has to think they can win, so you'll have to take risks. The big merc corps do not appear to be in the habit of taking risks. They camp hubs, they camp gates with HICS and faction or advanced cruisers, or they use neutral scouts to pinpoint mission runners which are then tackled and ganked. If you're being paid to shut down a target corp this makes sense, but when you start deccing everything in sight this ultra risk averse approach is going to have consequences.

Mo, there are a few corps out there in hisec that'll actually undock and some even come looking for the aggressors during a dec. PM me and i'll give you the names of a couple.

I'll hit you up.

I want someone who will fight but won't go to Jita for it.

By grading them with "points" off battleclinic, I'll be rewarding solo kills and small ships. Hopefully they'll figure out that one upwards kill is equivalent to a dozen team kills.

Any thoughts on who my other turtle should be?

Mo, WITAF?

This idea is like watching minivans race. Anti climactic. Even if you win, you still lose.

I do not support this product/and or service.

That's one downvote... get me a couple more and I'll save myself the iskies.

I figured it would be fun to spectate. Anyone wants to keep it going, help me find another turtle.

I've been playing a little and it's detracting from my forum humping.

OK OK OK...

What about YOU VS them?

That would be entertaining. Hell I'll throw an alt in with you for that.

Ok,
My alliance is larger than them, but we're still pretty small.

Think I should down-ship into equal size or 1 vs renegade armada?

Edit: the more I think on this, the more I think our size would be to his advantage in a fight to get points on Battleclinic. It is a lot easier to harden a 7 person team than a 40 person team.

I need a ruling from the C&P court. Do I set up the game with
A) just me vs them
B) an equivalent 7 person team
C) my small alliance ( I prefer this because it's easy)

Choose which is fair and I'll see what I can do.

I wouldn't bother in the 2 weeks at war with them I kept an ALT on the 4-4 undock. Holey left briefly at one point but in the time it took me to move from hek to uedama he had about faced and didn't leave the undock. If your looking for fun DEC devils. In my experience they are always interesting to fight
