That has got to be the most polite destruction of a corp that was dying that I have seen.

More along the lines of a mercy killing. The bit about referencing other pace the players could go is very polite and conducive to keeping said players in the game.

The only reason I've found to hate CODE is that they're role-players. If they start marrying each other in public weddings in-game, I will positively puke.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

You bring up a pet peeve of mine: People view things that CODE types say literally instead of understandings that people like that engage in "Knife Twisting". I've been 'ganked' twice for my afk shuttles (lol), once by code, another time by goons and both times I got an email that in a way sounded sincere but it was obvious that it was a "fishing for tears" attempt, and a masterful one at that..

The Goon one was best, talking about some "Pod/implant inspection service", telling me I'd past some test for not afking with expensive implants in lol. And I honestly mean "lol", because it made me laugh, mainly because I know someone somewhere would take it seriously and somehow complain to CCP about "unauthorized pod inspection services"...

The CODE email was some stuff about the Glory of James and how to avoid further "corrective action" by not autopiloting, same deal there, I thought "some idiot is going to get mad because he thinks these guys are telling him how to play the game". It's people like that that makes CODE exist.

I've been ganked by CODEdot on my other character a few times. I think it's awesome. Mining at my keyboard in a shield tanked Procurer and they still got me. I LOVED it!

The only people who "hate" the New Order are the privileged carebears that think highsec should be 110% safe without any other player interaction so they can shoot their rocks in the name of "relaxation" and make piles of ISK they have no intention of spending unless it's on other barges to replace the ones that get ganked.

I hope CODEdot is always and forever in EvE as they will always serve as a reminder that nowhere is safe.

New Eden isn't nice. It isn't friendly. It isn't very hospitiable. Good thing there are people here to shoot in the face.

As much of a joke as CODE is, he does make some very valid points in that mail, and gives valid advice. That corp was heading for the gutter anyway if everyone just jumps ship that easily. It won't be missed.

The only thing that is annoying about CODE is the RP **** they constantly spout, it just grates on me.

In this case:

This guy could have just said ''**** you. I'm taking all the the stuffz hahahahahah''. Then booted everyone.

These things happen in eve and not just by CODE.

At least he informed them of what the corp did wrong and pointed them to something that they might find worthwhile.

I see no problem with what he done.

CCP allows to happen as one of their GMs basically help create the code by giving them all of the rules they can bend or jump through.

The same GM also had to go back and tell them not to red pen names, which if they are still doing then is a breach of harassment, as the red pen named primary targets to chase across all of empire and therefore harassment and the GM told Code. they couldn't be doing the red inked names anymore.

other then that for the past couple of years now since code came out and I started following them, ive put down my mining lasers to put 125mm charges through their skulls....also help when the code is infiltrated. and in my free time instead of making 100m a day I make over 1b a day

so thanks for the kills and all of the extra isk and ill be right back at the next even when I log on to shoot some more of you.

So people complain its too much work to do proper background checks to prevent Awoxing so CCP gives coprs the choice to deny intercorp PVP. And now high sec corps take even less measures to prevent there corps from being "awoxed" in a sense.

I have to give CODE an applaud this time.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

So highsec.. hows that 'friendly fire' button working for you? Did it solve all your problems like you thought it would, or did it just allow you to become more complacent in your safety, and more apathetic in your hiring/screening practices?

From the sound of it, that corp was rotten to the core as it was. It needed to die. And it took that good Samaritan to take the time to put it out of its misery properly. It could have been done in many much more heinous ways, so be glad this one was euthanized rather painlessly.


Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I call that "delicious irony".

"Carebears" think some game mechanics change is going to benefit them, turns out it creates a situation where things get worse. Exhumer buff leads to more miner ganking, introduction of anchor rigs leads to more bumping, freighter low slots leads to more empty freighter ganking, safeties and crimewatch leads to more creative 'can flipping' and such, and a much vaunted friendly fire button leads to much more creative awoxxing.

I've been saying it a lot lately, but it's still true, carebears don't understand it's not game mechanics that's their problem, it's their attitudes. I and people like me avoided all of the bad things they complain about by simply thinking about things and not flying stupid (proving that was all you need to do) and yet they just can't learn from that, they cling to the idea that CCP can make them safe.
